“So I say, thank you for the music 🎼

Music has been one of the most important parts of my life for as long as I can remember. Whether it’s dancing, singing, or playing an instrument, music has always made me feel the most like myself. I’ve met some of my best friends through this amazing program at Maize South, and I wouldn’t change that for anything.

These past four years have been so memorable, inspiring, and amazing, and I’m going to miss spending every day with all of these beautiful and talented people. I’m so grateful for the opportunities I was given this year, and I’m incredibly sad that it’s all over now. Honestly sobbing thinking about the fact that I’ll never perform on the Maize South High School stage again.

Everyone always says, ‘you blink and it’s over,’ and that’s exactly how I’m feeling while typing this. So thank you, Maize South Mavrigals — I truly don’t know how I would’ve gotten through high school without it.”

last senior sunday of my last choir concert 💌

saying goodbye to maize south choir is possibly the hardest goodbye of the year. with semester long block scheduling and taking choir all year, every year despite this schedule, 1/4 of my high school career was spent in this classroom. mavrigals has been a safe place for me to be unapologetically myself and without it, i would not be where i am today. thank you mav choir for being the family i always needed ❤️

Forever grateful for the opportunity to be in this show alongside the best cast a girl could ask for. I will look back on this show with pride and happiness.
