Recognizing Our Unsung Heroes! ⭐️ (PT 3)

The Tote Project | Los Angeles, CA
@thetoteproject is an incredible fair trade social enterprise that champions anti-trafficking initiatives. Last year, they chose Impactful Missions as their nonprofit partner for 2025, donating 10% of sales on their entire collection to fund our school, creating a place of refuge and safe haven for Haitian children to grow in this time of great tension and insecurity.

🎨 @lifewithfayfay of The Tote Project + @miniandmeep created two custom designs of shirts + onesies for us to raise money for our school

👜 They also created the Love For Haiti tote, which donated 50% of the profits to Haiti

🍝 Their support helped feed nutritious school lunches for our 60 students last year!

🛒 Shirts + Onesies + Totes still available for purchase @impactfulmarket

Motherhood is the strangest push and pull - wanting time to freeze in the sweetest stages while also feeling that quiet excitement for what’s coming next. I look back on moments with an aching heart, wondering how they flew by so quickly - yet I’m filled with gratitude for the ones I’m living in right now.

It’s a journey like no other. Messy, magical, emotional, exhausting - and I wouldn’t trade it for the world.

I’m so lucky to do life with my best friend and raise three incredible kids whose hearts, minds, and souls amaze me every single day. 💛

Picture Day was so much fun! This year, we watched the kids shine in front of the camera. We watched their individual personalities come out through their poses + big smiles. What a difference one year makes!

Shout out to our staff for keeping the energy up all day + repeating “SOURI!” (SMILE!) probably more than 100 times! And there may have been some candy involved 😅

Schools in our area don’t have resources for a picture day. But it is important to us to be able to give these photos to their parents and preserve childhood memories.

School uniforms in Haiti are not just for the appearance or reputation of the school. It actually meets a physical need. Most families can’t afford to buy their kids clothes for the entire school year and uniforms save them so much money. Uniforms also help bring equality into schools for kids of different family backgrounds to prevent discrimination.

This year, our uniforms even provided a job for a local seamster. We hired the father of one of our students, Samuel, to sew on the school patches. We met Samuel’s grandma over 12 years ago. She was know as the fallen tree lady because there was a giant tree that fell and nearly missed her house. Who would have known that one day her son would be sewing our uniforms and her grandson would be in our school?
