Thank you to everyone who came to visit us at @millerswhitstable this weekend! Me & Abi loved seeing you all, hanging out together and sharing our selection of goods with you all over coffee. So grateful for the love & support of friends, new faces near and far and the cutest customers! The bonnets sold out in record time… always so nice seeing them being worn & loved, and hearing about where they’re going to. ❤️

What a weekend we had at Turn the Tide 🌊

It was a privilege to be part of such an incredible group of brands and creatives in such a beautiful space.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by, shopped with us, and shared such kind words.

A special thank you to Fran and Rebecca @kinder__collective for bringing Turn the Tide to life — you are amazing.

I’ve come away feeling inspired and grateful. Turn the Tide reminded me why I started lyttle stór in the first place.

Yesterday we were in the Kent seaside town of Margate, for the @turnthetidekids event at @turnercontemporary hosted by the lovely founders of Broadstairs mama and mini lifestyle store @kinder__collective

We had such a lovely afternoon shopping and chatting to the founders of @or_collective @kinder__collective and @minicarousel__ as well as others including @thekurmacollective 🩷

We also did a brilliant upcycling fashion workshop with @chilliekidsclub and it was great chatting to cofounder and stylist @nataliehartleywears about why it’s so important for kids to learn about sustainability 🩷

Today is the last day of Turn The Tide @turnercontemporary ~ a chance to discover the coolest independent kidswear brands and support the only baby bank in Thanet @mama_to_mama_uk ✨

Plus there is still time to join @chilliekidsclub today at 11am and 2pm ~ a 2 hour upcycling workshop where kids can get creative, cutting, sticking and making their own piece of clothing to take home. Link in bio to book.

10 weeks since Reuben landed Earth side.

To have spent an entire lifetime desperately wanting to experience motherhood and fearing that it might never happen, I can honestly say it feels like such an honour and a privilege to have been chosen by this most precious soul to be his guardian, caretaker, mother.

I have cried at his smile, his tears, his laughter.

And equally I have been surprised at times by how challenging it has been to surrender to the needs of the moment.

To let go of my ingrained habits and routines, in order to adapt to the demands of someone else.

Someone for whom I am their entire world. Their only form of sustenance. Their centre of gravity. Their marker of safety.

Things I keep in mind on days when I am feeling willful in my desire for productivity. Reminding myself that nothing is more important than this moment.

The one I spent my whole life envisioning.

I caress his soft head, kiss his plump cheeks, gaze into his oceanic blue eyes, soaking in every spectrum of his being.

His chill and joyful external display hiding his intense and independent nature. The side of him which demands our patience and our presence.

The aspect of him that knows he is sacred and sovereign. And must be treated as such.

My love. My angel. My Reuben. 💛

The “Throwback Kid” trend is everywhere right now and vintage-inspired kidswear is leading the way.

I started hunting for independent kids brands when I struggled to find cool clothes for my twin boys that weren’t just the same high-street styles everyone else had. That search turned into a full directory of amazing small kidswear labels.
