Okay y'all, time to lock in so I'll have enough posts for my Top Nine 9 (LOLLL jk 😂)
I cannot believe I've never taken pictures of this minifig, I've had him for 6 years ✋️😭 Plus, I absolutely LOVE the original DuckTales, so there's really no excuse. Also, can we take a minute to appreciate just how top tier the Disney cartoons were in the early 90's? I will admit they were aired a bit before my time unfortunately, but having older siblings means growing up with VHS tapes (don't clock me on my age y'all I already know 😭😂) of all the series and I absolutely loved all of them!! Everything from Goof Troop, Darkwing Duck, Chip and Dale: Rescue Rangers, and my personal childhood favorite, TaleSpin (though that may have just been because of my deep attachment to Baloo as a kid, I knew as a small child that if I lived in the jungle Baloo and I would be bros and we're not gonna judge that 🤷‍♀️😂)! I loved all of them! I don't really know what it is or how to pin point it exactly, but there was something special about that era of Disney cartoons. I haven't seen anything like it from before that time period or since, but there was this random shining moment where everything seemed to aline and something truly special, creative, and original was made that has stuck with me far more than any of the cartoons that were actually being made during my childhood. I love going back and watching them every now and then, if for no other reason than to appreciate the memories these shows brought me and this almost golden era of Disney cartoon magic ✨️💙
Did you watch any of the 90's Disney cartoon series? Which was your favorite? How's your October going thus far?

[Amongst the many films I watched this season, "Teenage Sėx and Dėath at Camp Miasma" was my most anticipated film. And I had a blast watching it (a couple of times).
.
It was such a cool discovery that I decided to recreate the LITTLE DĖATH, the "monster" of this film.
.
This post also marks the end of the miniseries... And the end of Summer, on this windy 21st of September.
.
Hope you enjoyed the series as much as your Summer.

[You probably have seen the many memes and reaction videos. Or you might remember Mads Mikkelsen busting some moves that someone posted in a Reel. Well, that comes from the film Drunk (or Another Round in English).
.
For the longest time, this film was in my watchlist. I wanted to watch it, but I was a tad scared that it might make me cry. But when I was visiting Copenhagen, I decided to finally take the plunge and watch it... And yes, it destroyed me.
.
While I didn't watch this at the movie theater, it was one of my favorite discoveries of the Summer, so I decided to recreate one the final shots of the film. If you haven't, please go watch it 🍻

The Sun is out, bright days are ahead and a refreshing Coca-Cola in my hands is telling me that the Summer is here. So what's the best thing to do now? Cramp myself in a safe, cushy and dark cinema 👌
.
This Summer has had fantastic films, so I wanted to dedicate a mini-series to my favourite films of the season.
.
I'm starting with The Odyssey. Great acting, mind-blowing props and effects and a beautiful cinematography to recreate one of the oldest epic stories. My favourite sequence was with the Cyclops Polyphemus (which, of course, I won't spoil for you in case you want to watch the film later).
.
So, how's your Summer going?

From time to time, I enjoy being a casual football fan. World Cups have always been a big event in my country that, from time to time, I also watch.
.
This year was a bit different. Besides getting the jersey from México, I watched the games with strangers and friends and followed the progress of the Cup in real time. It was the best!
.
Despite all the trickery and questionable things happening during this tournament, I was happy to be part of the Summer of Football.
.
Now that winner has been crowned and the Cup is over, it's time to go back to the usual. Let's get back to work!
.
P.D. I couldn't decide for a poster version. So which one is your favorite...? ⚽

P.S. Is it just me or it feels odd to have Star Wars Day on a Monday?

[Visually, my favorite scene of the film was the Petrova Line scene.
.
Knowing that it was accomplished by using led lights, a bunch of string, glass panels and reflectors blew my mind.
.
And with this, I'm done with this impromptu mini-series. I hope you enjoyed it and peaked your interest to watch the film or read the book.

[A LEGO Groot was gone, a LEGO Rocky was born...
.
I had a lot of fun recreating Rocky with @theastralbricks model. It's such a creative build and it captures Rocky's texture perfectly (I added just a few tiles to pump the colour for the shot).
.
If you want to recreate him, too, head over to @rebricktable for the instructions by The Astral Bricks 👊]

[A film with a quirky, bossy, smartass rock alien? Count me in.

The year is young, but Project Hail Mary has been one of my favorite films from this year. The practical effects, the music and Rocky... I love it.

"But He was pierced for our transgressions; He was crushed for our inequities; upon Him was the chastisement that brought us peace, by His wounds we are healed."
- Isaiah 53:5
.
.
.
By His wounds, we are healed.... Happy Easter, my dear friends!! I hope that it's been a lovely day full of all good things and maybe some Peeps!! (Unless you don't like Peeps, then maybe filled with Reese's eggs instead lol) Easter is something that hits so hard for me, as it's the day we remember the life Christ loss on the cross and His resurrection, the victory that He ultimately won for all who accept Him and His gift into their hearts. It is the most beautiful act of love that I've ever known and will ever know, I spend my days so deep in story telling of every form and kind, I read dozens of books a year and write them too, yet nothing described or anything I've ever experienced in my life has ever come anywhere close to this. To love so deeply, to endure so much, so we could be washed clean. Christ went through such brutal cruelties to give us this gift. A gift we cannot earn nor are expected to (if we could, it would no longer be a gift). The ultimate price paid, with nothing owed. We are saved through faith in Christ and the sacrifice He made. A gift that is open to every single person who will reach out and accept it. It's why I try so very hard to love and be kind to everyone around me, because God loved every single one of us first, and in His eyes we were worth being saved, whether or not any of us deserve it. It is that love that carries me through the best and worst times of my life, and it's the love I hope to share with every single person who crosses my path no matter what. So happy Easter, my friends!! I love you all so much, and Jesus loves you even more. Have a blessed day everyone, He is Risen ✝️💙
(Matthew 26-28)

[It might not be his most acclaimed work, but I really liked David Lynch's Dune. The worldbuilding is great and the music is fantastic, and as always you can expect Lynch's signature style. So, if you haven't, please watch it, I'll guarantee you'll enjoy it.
.
For this final installment of the series, it took me a while to come up with what I wanted to do. So I hope this meets the goal of a "grand finale" 🍩]
