Indian filter coffee is more than just a cup of coffee. The deeply ritualistic act of making the decoction, a thick coffee concentrate, to frothing the hot milk with it. It’s a wonderful experience that you just have to experience.

@keithsarasin shared @ministryofkaapi with me about three years ago, and I finally was able to share this experience with my wife.

@ministryofkaapi is a woman-owned, direct-trade, wildlife friendly coffee company that according to their website “sources, imports, and roasts damn fine Indian coffee”

good things come to a temporary end… such a fantastic weekend at @groundupfest in Miami this weekend 🙌. So great to meet new people and reconnect with old friends, and to be in the presence of amazing artists 🙏❤️. It usually takes me a couple of days to decompress & process all the music experiences but I’m so glad for all the new memories I’ve made. Next year can’t come fast enough!

I feel very thankful & fortunate to have spent the weekend at the GroundUP Music Festival 2023 in Miami 🙏. It was amazing to be part of this community again after 3 years, to see friends again and to meet new ones. ‘Awe’ is a great word to describe how I feel - to be witness to the amazing creativity of these artists, to be in this beautiful setting, to share this experience with so many great people - I’m so looking forward to doing this again next year. In the meantime, I’ve got lots of new music to explore 👍🙌. I really needed this trip to help my world feel a little bigger again - thank you @groundupfest !

Cold, brisk mornings call for an ultra slow-drip South Indian filter kaapi. This beautiful brass filter (and the traditional tumbler/dabara sets in the back) from @ministryofkaapi is an essential part of my filter coffee-making ritual. Head to my reels to find the kaapi video from a couple years ago where I show you how its done! To me, it's such a reminder of childhood and family and is the best coffee period.

While Chai is great year round it’s extra nice to have a hot drink as the weather cools down. So here’s our Chai Lovers gift guide (with a bonus recommendation since not everyone loves chai)! What your favorite chai related South Asian companies?
