The Minorstep Manifesto

1. Discovery Over Comfort
Safety stifles innovation. We thrive on bold experiments, knowing each step into the unknown leads to groundbreaking creative output. Risk is essential for new insights and growth.

2. Improbable Over Predictable
Processes are guides, not rules. We trust our instincts, embracing unexpected paths to ensure our creations resonate deeply. Originality thrives when we step beyond the expected.

3. Direction Over Destination
We chart our own course, guided by vision. Maps restrict; strong direction keeps us true to our mission, adaptable, and open to new paths.

4. Networks Over Objects
Every element is part of a dynamic network. We design interconnected frameworks that enhance narratives and amplify impact, resulting in cohesive and compelling works.

5. Emergence Over Authority
Innovation springs from collective effort and the exchange of well-founded ideas. We prioritize organic growth, collaboration, and knowledge creation over rigid hierarchies.

6. Resilience Over Rigidity
In constant change, resilience is key. We adapt, persevere, and thrive, turning challenges into opportunities. Our strength lies in bouncing back stronger.

7. Plurality Over Uniformity
Multiple viewpoints and interdisciplinary collaboration enrich our work. Integrating diverse perspectives drives innovation and ensures dynamic, insightful creations.

8. Practice Over Theory
Theory informs; practice perfects. We are committed to our craft, learning and improving through hands-on experience. Mastery comes from relentless practice.

9. Optimism Over Doom
All problems are solvable given the right knowledge. Optimism fuels our creativity, driving us to seek and create solutions where others see obstacles. Every challenge is an opportunity for progress and innovation.

10. Integration Over Separation
We bridge gaps between disciplines and mediums, fostering a cohesive approach to creativity. Integrating diverse fields creates innovative solutions and transformative work.

AEGEAN GRAVITAS AI Art Project by @minorstep.

A 28-day artistic revelation spanning ten captivating islands. An assemblage of exclusive sculptural installations by world-class international and Greek artists will coalesce, crafting an extraordinary celebration of creativity, culture, and connection.

From the jagged edges of Santorini to the lush expanses of Naxos, each island will play host to a symphony of artistic expression, providing a window into the artists' stories, cultures, and perspectives.

The installations will gracefully interweave with the islands' rich history and arresting beauty, echoing the classical forms that have perennially inspired contemporary creativity, with an emphasis on sustainable materials.

June 2023.

“(Polestar 2) is a clear demonstration of how the human race keeps creating better things,” says Berlin photographer @minorstep, “moving forward through engineering and design.” As one of the winners of our recent @cherrydeck contest in Germany, it’s his work we’re displaying today.

Designed to experience a “moment of calm” for visitors scouring the busy streets of the metropolis, The Cube is a timber installation designed by Henning Larsen in collaboration with Velux as part of the London Design Festival 2021 Special Projects lineup. Located at the famed Observation Point on London’s South Bank, the timber-clad installation features a kaleidoscopic mirrored interior, reflecting the mosaic of skylights that make up its roof.

The installation is supported by a calm sound experience composed by Kasper Bjørke, that plays an original song inspired by the ocean, wind, rain, and other outdoor elements.
