Kawaguchi Junpei is an eighth-generation successor of Matsue Domain rattan craft and a certified traditional craftsperson in Tottori, Japan.

Trained under master Makoto Nagasaki since 2009, he combines intricate double-layer rattan weaving with leatherwork. His work has received major international recognition, including awards in Kanazawa and from LOEWE Foundation.

Randi Julian Miranda is an Indigenous Dayak entrepreneur from Central Kalimantan, Indonesia, and part of a multigenerational rattan weaving lineage. Through HANDEP and SARAS, I work not only as a designer, but as a rattan craft ecosystem builder—connecting Indigenous knowledge, farmers, artisans, design, markets, and regenerative forest economies.
