📍 @mintish_coffee | Found myself a lil slice of Palestine that feels like home! 🇵🇸☕️😭

Y'all already know I'm on a mission to eat my way through Seattle, but this made my Palestinian heart SO happy. 🥹❤️

We stopped by @mintish_coffee for the soft opening of their new location on 1st Street, and ooh wee, I'm in love. 😍

☕️ Demasc Latte: Sweet, creamy, with the perfect amount of orange blossom. Made me miss my Taeta who loved citrus. 🍊

🧀 Halloumi Sandwich + Za'atar Grilled Cheese: Crispy, golden bread and cheesy goodness GALORE. Because obviously we needed both. 🤌🏽

&& can we talk about the space?! Gorgeous murals covering the walls, Arabic music playing in the background, and the absolute sweetest staff. Every little detail made my heart smile. 🥹

Moving to a new city comes with a lot of unfamiliarity, but walking into a Palestinian coffee shop, hearing my favorite music, and tasting flavors that remind me of home? I didn't realize how much I needed that. ❤️

Seattle, pretty please come show this Palestinian-owned gem some love!! Come for the coffee, stay for the vibes, and absolutely do not skip the food!

🇵🇸 Support Palestinian-owned businesses. Duhh.

Team coffee or matcha? While you decide, we have a few cafés you can visit to help you choose.

☕ @mintish_coffee
The first Levantine coffee shop in Seattle. Try their signature pistachio latte or one of their Turkish coffees.

🍵 @valematcha
Prepared with single-origin ceremonial-grade matcha from Shizuoka, Japan, this spot is for true matcha lovers. Their pumpkin pie matcha is just the thing you need.

Second location for the Mintish Coffee House team located at 1st & Lenora in Seattle's Belltown neighborhood, near Pike Place Market. Lovely spot to savor on point beverages, sandwiches, croissants, and other fresh baked items in their pastry case. ☕️🥐😋😊

I did not think I would be emotional writing this post, but it’s so beautiful to see a Palestinian coffee shop thrive this much in Seattle. As a Palestinian-American, moving from Chicago was a bit of a shock to not see as many Arabs/Palestinians around me (we have a town nicknamed Little Palestine) but coming to Mintish feels like a community gathering of us and people who support us and a free Palestine. The three people who created this place are so amazing and kind. And yes of course the coffee is PERFECT.❤️

Before Mintish, Mahmoud Farajallah was an accountant. Then he got laid off, and instead of sending out another résumé, he and his brother took the leap: months in the basement, testing recipes, building a menu from nothing.

Six months in, he hadn't taken a single day off.

Now @mintish_coffee is the kind of place where regulars get taught an Arabic word of the day with their latte, and neighbors who used to say "this street's too quiet" can't stop coming back.

Today, the 6th of September 2026, marks two years since the day Ayşenur was killed. Although her absence can be heavy, the overwhelming support we’ve continued to receive helps us to carry that weight and energize it into action. Swipe through to see what we’ve been able to do over this past year.

2 years later, justice for Ayşenur still means justice for all those killed by state sanctioned violence wherever it may be: from Falastine to the Philippines to Philadelphia.

We’ve continued to build our campaign with a hopeful and ambitious vision of what comes next. Stay tuned! We’re just getting started.

🦀 Seattle Part 2. This is my most frequented Seattle restaurant. Other adventures: Bainbridge Island, run clubs, coffee shops, Museum of Flight, Mariner games, used bookstores with cats roaming, saunaing on Lake Union, World Cup games, homemade treats, Ballard breweries.
