Never thought my journey in art would bring me here. my first time officially teaching as a guest art instructor. surprisingly, I felt confident throughout the session. maybe because this path is something I’m truly committed to. I’ve spent years trying to understand and master coloured pencils. belum master lagi, almost.

the highlight wasn’t me teaching. it was seeing everyone draw and proudly show their artworks. lepas tunjuk, tanya macam mana nak improvise lukisan. bagus betul. priceless moment I would say. walaupun macam macam warna keluar epal semalam eak tapi

big thanks to my friend @svntvm for inviting and trusting me with this opportunity sebagai artis jemputan. and thank you WQ Park for having me. more to come, InshaaAllah.

The original idea of this drawing was inspired by a powerful scene from the anime Attack on Titan, where the Eren points beyond the ocean after a long-awaited dream, realizing freedom is still far ahead. I reinterpreted that moment to reflect my own life: even when we reach a milestone, the horizon reminds us to keep moving. That image resonated deeply with me, so I reimagined it in my own way, to tell my story of growth and persistence.

The lower section of the drawing rendered using charcoal, represents my past and present, a mix of struggles and moments of beauty that shaped me. Colored section, the vast ocean and sun breaking through clouds symbolize hope, clarity, and the infinite possibilities that await. The clouds speak of doubt and obstacles, but light will always finds its way through.

I used charcoal and graphite to express weight and reflection, while colored pencil highlights in blue suggest peace and a future I believe in.

My drawing is a quiet declaration that I’m still going and I know where I’m headed.
