🎀 STRONG TODAY. SECURE TOMORROW. 💕

This event held a special place in my heart. Having witnessed my own mother’s journey with cancer, I know firsthand how deeply it can impact not just one person, but an entire family. ❤️

Last night, we came together in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month to have meaningful conversations about health, financial protection, and preparing for the unexpected.

Awareness is powerful, preparation is love, and action creates change. ✨

Yesterday my dad called to check on the petition challenge. I told him we were hustling, but it felt like pushing a boulder uphill—especially given the history behind all of this in the city.

He paused and said, “Everything you do, you don’t do for yourself.”

Regardless of what happens next, my team and I will make sure no future grassroots campaign has to go through this.

DC, if you haven’t already, today is the day to update your address at DCBOE.org. We’re counting on you. 🗳️

How Petition Challenges Are Weaponized Against Grassroots Campaigns…
Blanket petition challenges across multiple races are often used to protect established political power by creating procedural friction:
🐝Resource Depletion: Small campaigns are forced to drain limited budgets on legal defense, attorney retainers, and filing fees instead of voter outreach.
🐝Operational Exhaustion: Candidates and volunteers waste critical weeks in board rooms and auditing voter rolls, halting field operations during crucial campaign windows.
🐝Ballot Gatekeeping: Strict technicalities are leveraged to knock opponents off the ballot or intimidate lower-budget candidates into voluntary withdrawal.

By making the electoral process costly and legally risky, dominant interests actively disincentivize everyday citizens from running for office.

We are fighting against this, as my campaign was challenged 3 times because of address mismatches. Here’s how you can help…

There were moments when it would’ve been easier to quit.

I went from serving my community as a firefighter/paramedic to betting on a completely different path. Along the way I faced setbacks, lost stability, questioned myself, and had to rebuild with faith, discipline, and consistency. There were days when the vision was the only thing keeping me moving.

Today, I’m grateful to officially say I’ve reached Marketing Director.

This title isn’t the finish line. It’s proof that purpose, persistence, and obedience can take you places comfort never will.

To everyone who believed in me, trusted me, supported me, or simply prayed for me, thank you. And to anyone who’s in the middle of their own climb: keep showing up. Your breakthrough might be closer than you think.

Here’s to building wealth, creating freedom, and leaving a legacy.

The journey continues. 👑💙💛
