The temperatures are dropping here making it feel more wintery once again, yet a walk on the #hills just yesterday between the #showers & the #sun revealed a lot of #catkins! What are you noticing?

Who else is getting #outdoors today?
Have you spotted the ever more bare #trees with their uncanny resemblance to both #leafskeletons & images of #lungs? 💚 Isn't #nature wonderful!

Are you #noticing the #redleaves finally appearing everywhere? Perhap they have appeared sooner where you are...or are still yet to come? Filling the #landscapes with that touch of #warmth with their hues, before the #browns set in & they fall leaving #branches ever more bare! How does this surge of colour make you feel?
Now is the time on those #mindful #walks or after quiet sitting to #notice, to spot the #eyecatching leaves here & there & to bring them home to press for #natureactivites throughout the #halfterm week!

Who else is geting #outside & #noticing, or perhaps even #foraging, the wide array of #mushrooms & #fungi that are beginning to flourish in the #woodlands, #meadows & along edges? There are so many about at this time of year! So many to #explore & #observe! If you haven't yet spotted them coming through, then on your next time #outdoors, take a #mindful eye to see if you can spot them.

If it's clear enough #September can be a great time to see amazing #sunrises, wonderful #sunsets, beautiful #moons & stunning #stars with much more ease. See the cycle of a day within yours. It's a time to #reflect & be #thankful of the #summer that has passed & accept the time that will come. The air begins to freshen as the daylight hours become shorter, allowing some of #nature longer hours of #peace. Are you allowing yourself more moments of peace too?

When #gardening, & specifically growing your own, is linked to so many positive outcomes for us, how can we all include this more in our lives? It doesn't have to begin big, it can start as simply as one #seed in a pot. You can also consider - #community #allotment groups, the incredible edible movement, claiming small areas for growing like sills, verandas, borders, indoor growing for #herbs & #tomatoes & other #plants, applying for an allotment (there may be a waiting list) or taking up some of your #garden lawn to #grow #vegetables. #GYOforWellbeing #family #wellness #natureconnection #happy #incredibleedible #timeoutdoors #wellbeing #thoughtfulthursday

Make a micro #pond this #WonderfulWednesday! Let it fill with natural #rainwater over the next few days & top up if needed. It's the perfect time to #make a #micropond for the #garden, #balcony, sill or in whatever #outdoor space you have so that #birds & other local #wildlife learn where it is before warmer weather. All the #birds who visit ours love having a sip & a dip, especially the #sparrows who love a #dustbath afterwards too! #natureconnection #nature #family #wellbeing #Wellness #encourage #familyactivity #freeactivity
To access this #free activity head to the website, create a login, click on Free Activities (top left or menu on phones), then type ‘pond’ into the search 🔍 icon (top right or in the menu on the phones). Watch, read, make & enjoy watching and waiting til wildlife discovers your new pond! 💚
