Round six of our weekly feature, Faces of the Community. Introducing: @mirkosalgado_

Hello, I grew up near Frankfurt and now live in Berlin. I shoot almost exclusively on film and simply love everything about it. Taking the time to think about film choice, light, and subjects slows things down which makes photography even more special for me. I also really love the look of analog film. While I’m shooting, I’m already excited about the results and can’t wait to bring the rolls to the lab and eventually see the final images.

My favorite thing to photograph is landscapes. The sea in particular has a strong fascination for me. I find being by the water incredibly calming and grounding. When I’m not photographing landscapes, I enjoy capturing everyday life in the city, especially here in Berlin.

Make sure you check out Mirko’s account to see more of his photography.
