We are thrilled to highlight @samponsfordphoto

Sam is a documentary wedding photographer originally from the UK but now based in Spain and working across Europe and beyond. His work is inspired by time and memory, by feelings of nostalgia, and by creating a photographic legacy for the couples he works with.

His preferred mediums are film for photography and Super 8 for video. The color and texture of these mediums adds a timelessness to his work that is hard to match with more modern approaches.

As I’ve been grappling with my own grief from the outcomes of this week and what the future might bring, I’m also trying to choose to focus on things that bring me joy. I had So. Much. Fun. on the river this Fall. Fast racing. Couple of medals. Enough near-perfect moments to better know what you’re chasing.

Highlights include:

🥇at Head of the Schuylkill and eeking out a win on a boat that beat us by over a minute last year.

Returning to Chattanooga and Head of the Hooch after 10 years. 3rd fastest boat on the water out of 46 boats.

So many other fun races and lineups at Navy Day and King’s Head Regattas around here in Philly.

I’m grateful to have @philadelphiagirlsrowingclub and the larger rowing community. It’s been a hoot & holler. Looking forward to what next year brings.

Life has been good recently… Philly, nyc, London, Barcelona, birthdays, webinars, soccer games, travel and being a tourist, new couch / old couch, great food, great people.
