WE ARE MORE CONNECTED THAN WE REALIZE.

We spend so much of our lives chasing individual goals.

Our marks.
Our heights.
Our records.
Our accomplishments.

And please do not get me wrong...there's nothing wrong with wanting to become great.

But something special happens when we realize that the journey was never ours alone.

Every person who encouraged us when we needed belief.
Every teammate who pushed us to raise our standard.
Every coach who challenged us to see more in ourselves.
Every friend and family member who stood beside us through the process.

We carry pieces of those people into everything we do.

And we have the same opportunity to become that person for someone else.

To be the teammate who brings energy when the room feels heavy.
To celebrate another person's breakthrough as if it were your own.
To offer encouragement when someone is finding their way.
To make the people around you believe in what's possible.

Because your impact reaches far beyond your own performance.

The goal is to become great at what you do while helping the people around you discover what they're capable of, too!!

Your success matters.
Your teammates' success matters.
The way you treat people along the journey matters.

One day, the heights you cleared and the distances you jumped will become memories.

The way you made people feel, the belief you helped create, and the lives you helped shape will carry on.

So chase your goals with everything you've got.

And bring people with you.

WE GROW TOGETHER. WE RISE TOGETHER. WE ACHIEVE TOGETHER.

Sometimes, the hardest part of being an athlete isn't the physical work.

It's showing up when you don't feel good enough.

When the jumps aren't there.
When your confidence takes a hit.
When everyone else seems to be improving, and you're wondering if you're falling behind.
When you're struggling to be the athlete you know you can be.

Those are the moments when it's tempting to pull away. To stop talking. To stop asking questions. To stop letting people see you struggle.

But those are the moments you need your people the most.

You don't have to be performing at your best to be a valuable part of this squad.

You don't have to have all the answers.
You don't have to pretend everything is okay.
You don't have to earn the right to be supported by having a good practice.

Show up.
Stay connected.
Let people help you.
Keep doing the work.

Your teammates aren't just here to celebrate your best jumps. They're here for the days when you can't seem to find them.

And you owe them that same presence in return.

Because this is bigger than track and field.

When you feel inadequate, don't isolate yourself. When you struggle, don't disappear. When you need help, let someone in.

You belong here on the good days.

You belong here on the hard days, too.

There will be days when your legs are tired.

Days when practice doesn't feel easy.

Days when progress feels slower than you hoped.

And on those days, remember:

You CHOSE this.

You CHOSE to chase something difficult.

You CHOSE to become better.

You CHOSE to put yourself in an environment that will challenge you.

You CHOSE to find out how good you can become.

Not everyone gets the opportunity to chase a goal they care deeply about.

So when the work gets hard, don't only see the exhaustion...see the opportunity.

Be grateful that you have something worth working for.

It's a privilege to be tired from pursuing something you chose.

Now go earn another day of it.
