…in case you were wondering how the SHAPESHIFTER release party went. 👀

Yeah. It was kind of a moment. ✨

Huge thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate the release of SHAPESHIFTER with sirdanpaul at Hula’s — to everyone who performed, played, filmed, photographed, cheered, danced, sang along, and helped make the night so ridiculously special.

And thank you, Hula’s, for giving this shapeshifter a stage. 🖤

SHAPESHIFTER is out now wherever you stream music.

1 DAY AWAY
Tomorrow SHAPESHIFTER arrives 💚

But tomorrow night at Hula’s, there’s going to be a little something that isn’t on the album.

Yesterday, I rehearsed “Wonderful Mess” with my friend, collaborator, and all-around force of nature Ian Galloway aka Ella Mental—the only duet I’ve ever written. *Brett Lord wrote the lyrics and melody for the part Ian sings here.

This song disappeared for more than a decade. We never played it. I honestly thought it had probably had its moment.
And then somehow, it resurfaced.
So naturally, I had to let her on the roster. 😉

“Wonderful Mess” will make its long-overdue return tomorrow night at the SHAPESHIFTER album release party at Hula’s, alongside the songs from the new record and some very special guest musicians.

Connor Johnson 5–8 PM

And tomorrow, the album is all yours.
October 1.

Sometimes the joys we thought were finished are just waiting for the right moment to come back.

THREE DAYS. 🐾

One of the songs on SHAPESHIFTER is called “Crazy Animal,” and at its heart, it’s a song about compassion.

Compassion for other people.
Compassion for ourselves.

The kind of compassion we instinctively have for an animal—recognizing that it’s just trying to survive, navigate the world, and stay alive.

We are all just crazy animals trying to stay alive.

Huge mahalo to Sarah Overvoll for conducting this awesome interview and giving me the opportunity to talk about the song and what it means to me.

And this Thursday, I’ll be performing “Crazy Animal” live as part of the SHAPESHIFTER Album Release Celebration at Hula’s. I’ll be sharing the stage with Waipahu Willie, Don Farmer & Ian Galloway for this very special number.

💿 SHAPESHIFTER drops Thursday, October 1
🎤 Live performances begin at 8 PM
🎟️ FREE EVENT
📍 Hula’s Bar & Lei Stand, Waikiki

🔮📜 THE PROPHECY HAS BEEN WRITTEN. 📜🔮

And on the day when the sun stood highest over Waikīkī…

Five enchantresses would gather.

One would command the realm.

One would bring darkness.

One would summon the faeries.

One would bend beauty to her will.

And one would arrive from the frozen north…

Together, they would unleash a magic so powerful that the boundaries between fantasy and reality would disappear.

✨ THE PROPHECY SPEAKS OF… FULL FANTASY. ✨

🧙‍♀️ ELLA MENTAL
The High Sorceress.
Keeper of the realm. Mistress of the gathering. The one who has summoned the others from across the mystical planes. When Ella raises her wand… you WILL pay attention.

🐉 SARDONYX DEL REY
The Dark Enchantress.
Beautiful. Dangerous. Seductive. She walks the line between glamour and destruction — and frankly, we wouldn’t want her any other way.

🧚‍♀️ MISS ZEE
The Faerie Trickster.
Do not be fooled by the sparkle. Behind those wings lies mischief, mayhem, and magic powerful enough to turn your mimosa into a love potion.

🪄 EDEN SIMON
The Mystic Oracle.
She has seen things you haven’t. She knows things you don’t. And when Eden takes the stage, the veil between worlds grows thin.

❄️ GLACIER MUGLER
The Ice Queen.
Forged in frost. Sculpted in perfection. Absolutely lethal. When Glacier enters the realm, temperatures drop and jaws hit the floor.

And then…

THE FIVE WILL STAND TOGETHER.

The coven will be complete.

The spell will be cast.

The portal will open.

And for one glorious afternoon, Hula’s will become a realm of witches, wizards, dragons, faeries, mermaids, mythical beasts and enchanted creatures of every kind. 🐉🧜‍♀️🧚‍♀️🧙‍♂️✨

So heed the prophecy.

Dress accordingly.

Bring your magic.

Bring your coven.

And whatever you do…

DO NOT ANGER THE SORCERESSES. 🔮
