THERE’S A NEW QUEEN IN HELL’S KITCHEN!

And she’s got the balls to prove it!

Congratulations to Kiki Ball-Change, who sashayed away with the Miss Hell’s Kitchen 2026 crown after a fierce night of drag, talent, and fabulous competition!

Kiki dominated the evening, taking home Best Talent and Best Interview before claiming the ultimate title. Vanity LaVain earned first runner-up honors and Best Evening Wear, while Mimi Shashimi was named second runner-up.

The evening also marked a fabulous farewell to outgoing queen Freeda Kulo, who passed on the crown after a year of reigning supreme.

Beyond the wigs, gowns, and glamour, the annual pageant supports Cycle for the Cause, raising funds for vital HIV/AIDS services through NYC’s LGBT Community Center. ❤️

✨ @misshellskitchen ✨

I remember watching this pageant pre Covid, when I was still a baby queen and seeing just how glamorous it all was. I’m a native New Yorker, but the idea of doing drag in HELLS KITCHEN was so intimidating to me.

“They wouldn’t get it, bearded queens don’t really have platforms, I wouldn’t fit in, maybe I should just quit” is something I told myself often.

But something in me made me keep going. Doing this was entirely a labor of love and a commitment to my advocacy work in queer community and the sisterhood that goes into creating this event. When I tell you I am so PROUD of myself, I am. I DO fit in. I am enough. And I am FAB.

I had to fight back tears so many times during this journey because I made so many of my own visions come to life and as an artist, that feels sooooooo incredible. I felt the support from my family and my chosen family who literally dragged bricks on stage and helped me backstage to get ready. To feeding me, to hugging me when I was overwhelmed. I’ve won because I am so loved. To all of the contestants who absolutely have one of the best competitions I’ve ever witnessed, we should all be incredibly proud of what we put out there.

More footage to come, but this was one of the best days of my career. ✨

To every bar and club in Hell’s Kitchen that has hired me, poured me a drink, opened the dance floor up for me to dance the night away with my friends, and more - thank you. You all have helped build me into the drag queen I am today.

While some may argue that other neighborhoods are better, there’s no place I would have rather cut my teeth than in Hell’s Kitchen, and I take immense pride in being a Manhattan girl.
