From barely walking ONE mile to running 6.2 miles and setting a NEW PR! 🥹🏃🏻‍♀️❤️‍🔥

3rd 10K in the books! 🏅 New friends, lots of laughs, and an incline that had me questioning my life choices! 🤣🥵

WE DID THAT!🫶🏼

Never thought I’d be running for FUN, but here we are! If you’re starting from ZERO, keep going. Every step counts, and you never know how far you’ll go! 💗

Third year at the Mission Inn 10K. 😎🏅

A course PR, matching medals, candy corn, and another great morning with the Run Riverside crew. Not a bad way to spend a Sunday!

PORTLAND HALF

First and only big mile race as part of my reset year. As we get to the latter half of 2026 the fomo bit. It's funny how much funner these races get when you're not actively chasing a PR though I admit it's pretty tiresome when people expect a big narrative behind your race. I still had a goal but a scenery change was much needed.

MISSION INN 10K

The race fomo continued to bite but had to listen to my body. This was probably the most drastic course change I felt since LAM. Provided I only ran the 10k but the course was backward. The hills at mile 3 of the 10k was mile 11 of the half last year, and I vaguely remembered that detail because that's where I bonked. Regardless I finished and got quite the wake up call that I have a lot of work to do once I'm ready to get serious again.

I'm not mad with both my finishing times. When you become so goal oriented year after year the process stops being fun and the very things that made it fun and meaningful for you takes a backseat. While running has been life for me for like, 13 years it's always good to take a step back and allow the mind, body, and ego to reset before going again.

#MedalMonday #MotivationMonday We went from @marathonmaniacs last weekend to @halffanatics this weekend running the @missioninn_museum 's @missioninn_run half marathon 10/18/26! This was the 1st time running this race & my 230th lifetime half marathon, clinching 3rd place in my age group as a nice bonus to a wonderful mini runcation weekend getaway!

Do you love that?!

I only had to run three 1/2 marathons to have my girls show up. My wife would have been there for the others. It’s my daughters that needed a compelling reason to get out of bed on a weekend. They saw the hype first hand and I might get them to run the kids run next year. 🤞🏽

Seek adventure, trek on, stay dangerous 🏃🏽‍♂️
