🇬🇧 Do you love autumn too? For me, it’s my favourite season. To me, autumn begins on September 1st, and for as long as I can remember, I’ve treated this date as the beginning of a new year. A new chapter. And this year is no different. I love the nostalgia, the long evenings, the cooler air and that certain feeling I can’t quite put into words. I love changing the decor in my home for autumn and romanticizing everything around me.

I start thinking about what I want to change, what I want to leave behind, and what I want to focus on in the months ahead. A little like the beginning of a new year, just without the pressure of resolutions and big plans.

I love doing a little reset at home, changing the decor, bringing out the blankets and candles, and adding all those little things that make the space feel even cozier.

Is there anything better than the cool breeze and colourful, rustling leaves? Going chestnut hunting with the kids. A warm cup of tea tastes even better in the evening, especially with a book under a cozy blanket, candles burning and the smell of cinnamon rolls filling the house.

Maybe that’s why I love autumn so much: it gives me the feeling that you can start something new. Sometimes, all it takes is simply turning the page on the calendar.

Are my fellow autumn lovers here?

P.S. And if you noticed the pumpkin in the photo - I made it using a pattern by @missknottie.macrame I really love this pattern because the result is so beautiful, and the pumpkin fits perfectly into the autumn mood. Of course, I couldn’t resist putting my own spin on it and giving it a little boho touch, because the original pattern looks slightly different.

The cord is, of course, from @fabryka_sznurka - as always, it works beautifully for projects like this.

If you’d like to make a little autumn decoration like this one yourself, definitely check out Miss Knotie for the pattern and Fabryka Sznurka for the cord.

Ready to master the macrame spiral knot with @missknottie.macrame ✨

Before you tie the knot, it is essential to understand two key terms:

🧵 Working Cords: The outer cords used to tie the knot.

🧵 Filler Cords: The inner cords that stay in place while you tie the working cords around them.45

By repeatedly tying half square knots, the spiral shape will form naturally! 🙌2

It’s nearly been a year since my trip to Seville for the stunning macrame retreat hosted by @_twome so I had to pick these photos taken by @lovingyellowphotography for my Throwback Thursday post today!

I still can’t quite believe I did this! It was literally a dream, stunning location, gorgeous weather, delicious food, and some of the most wonderful women. All that, and we got to make macrame!!

I can’t wait to do this again someday. The piece we made was designed to be a rug but I kept mine as a wall hanging and it is proudly hanging in my studio today.

You can read all about this adventure in my blog, I’ll post a link in my stories.
