What a wonderful day celebrating the river dying in Chicago with my love. 💚☘️ Even though I was born in Chicago and lived there for three different parts of my childhood, this was my first time seeing them dye it in person! So glad that we finally got to experience this.

I can't believe it's been over a week since Raymond and I got to go to @theofficeexp We took a lot of photos and had a great time. Definitely recommended for any office fan!

The One Where We Went to Chicago. I still can't believe we got to see the @friendstheexperience last week Thursday. This was my favorite show as a kid, I was so obsessed with it haha. I guess as an adult too since we drove out to the city to experience it 🤣

Raymond and I went on an almost 7 mile hike today and it was so much fun! It's crazy how the other day I couldn't even get out of bed from that second covid shot and today I walked around so much. I took my camera with me and it felt just like old times. I can't wait to look at all of the photos from my camera. I'll try and post them here or on my photography insta. Also I was very nervous about wearing these pants outside but a little girl on the hike said hi to me and she loved my pants so I think it was worth it. I hope everybody had a great weekend. 💓

Today we completed the @hotchocolate15k but we did the 5K! First "race" since March. Although I wouldn't really call a virtual a race lol. Love being able to run with my love though, we had a lot of fun even though we were dying 😂

After a month and a half in the Navy lodge, we are finally in our place! Omg this has been quite the journey lol. We officially moved in yesterday and the house wasn't cleaned! Nothing had been cleaned from the last tenants and the carpet had to be cleaned. Luckily our amazing realtor found some people to clean it and the property manager got the carpets done and although it should have been done before we moved, in these things happen I guess. Today we had all our furniture delivered and that went smoothly. I've heard some horror stories on pcs moves so I think we got lucky, but we will have to unpack everything just to be sure, so far our bed was messed up a little bit (superficial but it was an expensive bed lol) and one thing was cracked (china) but other than that, things seem to be finally falling into place. After the movers left, we had our first amazon prime delivery here, a housewarming/moving in gift from my parents. In the second photo, our realtors husband made us that American flag sign and it even has our name on it! I've been blown away by how much she helped us even though we are only renting, she was such a joy to work with. I'm so excited to finally start this next chapter. 🏡 🔑

We have been up since 2:30 this morning because we had an appointment to pick up Raymond's car. It was shipped from Hawaii last month and the only place to pick it up is 5-hour drive from the base lol So we drove my car in the morning had our appointment to pick it up and then we drove back It was my first time driving for that long of a period by myself so I was excited but also nervous we ended up having a fun time we even brought Kody with us 😍

We bought our first place together back in February of 2016. As of 8:00 a.m. this morning, we are no longer the owners. I will be sad to leave this place but excited to start new memories. I'm going to miss all of my neighbors because even though we had one bad one upstairs we've had even nicer ones overall. People have been asking us why don't we just rent it out but I don't think people realize how difficult it would be living in a totally different state, and having to be a landlord is something I really wouldn't feel comfortable with. I hope the new owners have as many wonderful memories as we did here.
