I genuinely don’t have the words to express how much Southeastern Louisiana University means to me. Growing up in this amazing town and community, I always knew Southeastern would hold a special place in my heart. Being able to call this beautiful campus my home and represent it on the 2026 Homecoming Court is an honor I will forever be grateful for! Southeastern has given me countless opportunities, lifelong friendships, and memories that I will cherish for the rest of my life. I truly couldn’t imagine my journey being any more special!

To my family, friends, sorority, organizations, and my Southeastern and Hammond community, thank y’all from the bottom of my heart for the endless love and support you’ve shown me. I wouldn’t be the woman I am today without the incredible people who have loved me and walked alongside me through every chapter. I’m beyond thankful for each of you, and I hope you know just how much you mean to me. I love y’all more than words can express! To @traversbenoit_21 , thank you for being the BEST Homecoming partner ever and making this experience even more special! And a HUGE congratulations to @charliestew11 & @taniecedelestre ! There couldn’t be two more deserving people, and I’m so incredibly happy for y’all! I love y’all so much!

My biggest advice to anyone at Southeastern is to get involved, step outside your comfort zone, say yes to new opportunities, and cherish every moment. The people you meet and the memories you make will become some of the most meaningful parts of your journey. Make the most of every opportunity and enjoy every second because these years truly are so special!

TYJ, and so much love to everyone who has made this experience one I will hold close to my heart forever. I will always be proud to call Southeastern home. Always remember to keep shining bright! LION UP!! 🦁🎶💚🎉

American Bank had a great time at Southeastern Louisiana University’s Career Expo!

Our team spent the day meeting students, talking about career opportunities, collecting resumes and connecting with the next generation of professionals. We even put their money skills to the test with our “Guess the Total” challenge, where students took their best shot at guessing the total amount of money for a chance to win a giveaway!

Thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth, introduced themselves and learned a little more about American Bank. We loved meeting so many Southeastern Lions and seeing all the talent right here in our community!

Nothing beats watching and celebrating your student all together, ESPECIALLY when she wins first runner up in the Miss America Pageant 🥹🦁🤍

Congratulations to our graduate, and current Masters student @shelbyrbordelon on her amazing performance in Miss America. Shelby has excelled within not only our department, but everything she puts her mind to. Shelby, you are such a beautiful representation of our department, and we are SO proud of your accomplishment 🤍

Communication and Media Studies collaborated with @misssoutheasternla to host a Miss America watch party, where everyone showed up to watch Shelby make it to Top 11, then to Top 5, and to go on to win FIRST RUNNER UP. We had an amazing time celebrating and watching our girl succeed 🤭👏🏼

There is something incredibly special about coming home.🦁

I had the opportunity to be back at Southeastern Louisiana University for freshman orientation, sharing the opportunities the Miss Southeastern Louisiana University and Miss Louisiana Organizations have to offer! Standing at that table, I couldn’t help but reflect on the journey that began right here on this campus!🥹

Southeastern poured so much into me…through its people, its opportunities, and the experiences that shaped the person I am today. It was so meaningful to see the faculty, staff, mentors, and friends who believed in me from the very beginning, while also getting to encourage the next generation of young women considering this incredible organization!

Returning to my university wearing the Miss Louisiana crown is a feeling I can hardly put into words. It fills me with immense pride and gratitude to represent the school that helped shape my story.💚 Lion for Life!
