Long sappy post warning 🫣

This nationals was about so much more than trophies, scores, or placements. It was the moments in between, the hugs backstage, the happy and not so happy tears, the pep talks, the laughter until our stomachs hurt, the memories made in hotel hallways, and watching every dancer step on stage with courage and heart.

I couldn’t be more proud of every single dancer. We truly are more than a dance studio, we’re a family. Watching everyone cheer each other on, celebrate every accomplishment, and pick each other up through every emotion is something I’ll never take for granted.

And the fact I get to do this beside some of my best friends, wow. It takes an incredible team to create an environment where kids feel loved, challenged, and inspired. I am so lucky to teach alongside people who care as deeply as they do. And thank you to my person, Tantan for taking me in at 8 years old and becoming such an important person in my life.

And to the seniors, here we go. 😭

Some of you have been by my side for almost my entire teaching career. I’ve watched you grow from little dancers into confident, talented, beautiful young women. I’ve had the privilege of watching you find your confidence, overcome challenges, celebrate victories, and become role models for the younger dancers. It’s impossible to put into words what that means to me.

You haven’t just been students you’ve become part of my life. You’ve helped shape the teacher I am today. Knowing this chapter is coming to an end is incredibly bittersweet. While my heart aches knowing things will never quite be the same, I’m also filled with so much pride because I know each of you is capable of amazing things beyond these studio walls. Thank you for trusting me, for making me laugh, for keeping me on my toes, for believing in me, and for allowing me to be a small part of your journey. I love every single one of you more than you’ll ever know.

Here’s to another unforgettable Nationals, memories we’ll carry forever, and a family that will always have a place in each other’s hearts 💕 ✨
