The accolades, trophies and medals are the cherry on top of the cake for me. 🍒🏆

The real cake is the people I have in my circle — my friends and family, the people who mean the absolute most to me. The ones who have been there through every early morning, every high and every low, every doubt, every win, and every tough day throughout this prep.

The support, love and encouragement I’ve received from these people is genuinely immeasurable. They are the highlight of my life. ❤️

This sport has brought some incredible people into my life, and the friendships, connections and memories I’ve made along the way are what make this journey so special. These are the people who drive me to keep bettering myself, who I care deeply about, and who remind me of what truly matters.

The trophies might sit on the shelf, but the people beside me are the part I’ll always treasure most.

5 weeks ago I was diagnosed with Stage 1 breast cancer. I incidentally found a small lump on my breast. Had an ultrasound, mammogram and biopsy done. The biopsy came back positive for malignancy.

I had an MRI done last week which showed it was only 13mm in size.
I had the lumpectomy last Tuesday where they removed the lump and some lymph nodes to test. These results I won’t know till next week and may need chemo/radiation.

There’s still a lot unknown but I’m thankful that I found it early.
I have a lot of support, and I’m so thankful for my family, friends and my partner for being my rock through this ❤️

Also, thank you to the Mater team for looking after me so well.

I am only 33. Please go and get your checks done, men and women. Cancer does not discriminate against anyone x
