@pmthetemple this week we had a great guest artist @genostampora. He talked about how a special lady would go to the salon now and then to get her hair done and to feel rich for a day. I saw exactly what she felt first hand. Friday a friend from my Parks/rec maintenance days said he had a wedding to go to and trying to think “who do I know can make me look purdy? Only you came to mind” Expecting a quick cut and beard trim. I put him in the chair and went to work with my @hanzonation shears and @ysparkusa comb. I trimmed his brows and finished his cut with #andisgtx ,#dovoshavette ,and #mvrckbladeslip . He said he never had anyone use a straight razor on him. I trimmed his beard with my #andismaster and outlined what he wanted to keep with @andisclippers GTXs. Thinking for sure his experience was enjoyable yet over, I laid the chair back with him excitedly asking what each of the next steps were for. I applied #mvrckshavecream and a hot towel to his face. Removing the hot towel and remaining shave cream, I applied a cocktail of @mvrckbarbering shave cream and blade slip. I proceeded to shave the unwanted stubble that was left behind. All the while he kept repeating “MAN I WASN’T EXPECTING ALL THIS!!” I cleared the spare lather and applied #mvrckbeardandskin with another hot towel. As it cooled I removed the towel and replaced it with #mvrckaftershave and a cold towel. I then left him in the quiet. When I returned he said any longer he would’ve been asleep. I sat him back up styled his hair with #mvrckoriginalpomade. I removed his cape and applied #pinaudbayrum and #pinaudpowder. Praising my work looking in the mirror not believing it was himself he was seeing he kept shouting “I WASN’T EXPECTING ALL THIS! THANK YOU.” He texted later to say his wife loved it! I realized then that Mike works so hard catering for others enjoyment he has never been pampered himself and for that moment he got to feel rich. I love this industry, the people, and brands I work with! Most of all I love the gift I was given to give by my learning leaders and mentors! Merry Christmas and I hope you get to make someone feel rich this season too!!

TRANSFORMATION TUESDAY!!

I got the opportunity to do this amazing cut on my brother tonight! Can you believe he hasn't gotten his hair cut since June? 🥴 What's the longest you've gone without a haircut? (besides quarantine 🤣)
