Happy 404 Day!! As a native, Atlanta holds a special place in my heart.

Some of my favorite stats…

I’m a Grady baby, adopted with love by a family who traveled here from the north to find their forever home. I once stood on a TedX stage and told that story full circle.

I built a career in entertainment right here, working with over 1000 recording artists. I was on set when Xscape was just kicking it and TLC had us all asking, “what about your friends?” 🤯💜

And in this same city, I reinvented myself… stepping into purpose and being honored to serve on advisory boards for two mayors.

Atlanta didn’t just raise me. It revealed me.

Last week I filmed a campaign, which I look forward to sharing with you soon.

It made me miss my life before. I like being in front of the camera. Not because I think I’m pretty or to show off. Let’s be real, I struggle daily with being “good enough”, “thin enough”, “attractive enough”.

I REALLY love talking about making and sharing how fun it is. When they say action. I don’t think at all about looks. Only about what I know.

My students ask me why did I decide to teach full time. I need a constant dopamine high. Even though the internet will have you believe that I was always jet setting across the country. Sometimes I was gone for two months at a time and then home doing nothing for a month.

My life only works if I am always busy, always making, always talking. Always contributing to someone else’s life. Healthy? I don’t know, but it sure does make me happy.

And uh, Netflix you’re the only network I haven’t been on. Just saying. 📞 I’m available in the summers.

This game show is one of my absolute favorite projects to direct for a number of reasons, but especially because it’s FUN and FUNNY (even behind the scenes) and I get to work with a bunch of truly talented and great humans in front of and especially behind the camera - some of my favorite people! Producer Chronicles: This was one of those sets where I found myself standing sideline trying to refrain from saying “yep, yep” or “girl, you too?!” 😂

The conversation was so good that we literally had to force ourselves to cut!

It was an honor to be a part of such an important project for the Black Women’s Health Imperative. I thoroughly enjoyed the open, honest, and even vulnerable conversation between these four ladies as they shared some of their most personal experiences related to not only Breast Cancer, but also aging gracefully, their relationships with their mothers, careers and more - all for the sake of hopefully encouraging someone else to possess the Power of Sure.
