VENDOR 2 VENDOR: DODOPOP 🦤

For our next stop on Vendor 2 Vendor, we headed over to @dodopopdrinks

Nostalgia to familiar and everything in between Dodopop is a new vendor at the 2026 Minnesota State Fair.  With their storefront in Minnetonka, Dodopop is bringing six flavors to the fair.  If you are indecisive or simply want to try them all they even have the Zookeeper for you.

With exciting names and funky flavors - Reed and the Dodopop team keep it interesting.

That’s what we love about Vendor 2 Vendor.

Being in the excitement of new foods and vendors, hearing their stories, and making connections.

VENDOR 2 VENDOR: GIGGLE’S CAMPFIRE GRILL⛺️

For our next stop on Vendor 2 Vendor, we headed over to @gigglescampfiregrill

Stepping into the Northwoods we are immersed in the Giggle’s Campfire Experience.

From the front of house kitchen to the back of house lounge all while live music and a lumberjack show are within view.

Giggle’s Campfire Grill is a staple at the Minnesota State Fair serving up all of your favorites.

We tried the Walleye Fries, Timber Twists, and Millstream Lime in the Coconut 🍺

While you’re in the area catch some free entertainment on their stage.

That’s what we love about Vendor 2 Vendor.

From tradition to new ideas, good people, and getting to learn what makes each vendor unique.

VENDOR 2 VENDOR: BAYOU BOB’S 🐊

For our next stop on Vendor 2 Vendor, we headed over to @bayoubobsgatorshack

A tradition at the Minnesota State Fair for many - Deep Fried Alligator.

Bayou Bob’s is 29 years old this season with a party and new food planned for their 30th anniversary in 2027.

We tried the deep fried alligator and hush puppies dipped in our hot sauce for a little kick.

And of course, we had to ask. Is there a Bob?

That’s what we love about Vendor 2 Vendor.

VENDOR 2 VENDOR: SARA’S TIPSY PIES 🥧

For our next stop on Vendor 2 Vendor, we headed over to @tipsypies

Sara’s Tipsy Pies has been part of the State Fair for 11 years, and this year they brought a pretty special new creation.

The Strawberry Ube Sundae Tart. 🍓💜

It’s frozen, refreshing, and packed with strawberry and ube flavor. Basically, exactly what you want when you’re walking around the fair on a hot day.

But what we loved hearing about was everything that happens behind the scenes. They started making pies back in April and even had to figure out how to keep thousands of pies from melting along the way.

That’s what Vendor 2 Vendor is all about.

Meeting our neighbors, sharing a bite, and getting a little peek behind the pie.

VENDOR 2 VENDOR: THE HERBIVOROUS BUTCHER 🎬🌱

For our next stop on Vendor 2 Vendor, we headed over to @theherbivorousb.

The menu changes every year, and this time they brought the movies with them. 🎬

The Fried and the Furious: Cubano Drift and Crunchy Rice, Hidden Tuna, both 100% vegan and both seriously good.

The Cubano Drift is packed with seitan Cuban pork, pickles, Vegan Swiss cheese and garlic mustard, while the Hidden Tuna is made with jackfruit, sushi rice and gochujang, all finished with a jalapeño citrus sauce.

And of course, we had to try the Double Feature.

That’s what we love about Vendor 2 Vendor.

VENDOR 2 VENDOR: EL BURRITO MERCADO 🌮

For our next stop on Vendor 2 Vendor, we headed over to @elburritomercado

And this one was extra special because El Burrito Mercado is actually our neighbor at the fair.

We got to meet Tomas, talk a little shop, and try their Tacos de Mole, one of this year’s new foods. 🌮

Chicken, cheese and house-made mole tucked into a tortilla, deep fried, then topped with even more mole and queso fresco.

And the mole? More than 25 ingredients and based on Tomas’ mom’s recipe. ❤️

That’s what we love about Vendor 2 Vendor.

VENDOR 2 VENDOR: QUE VIET CONCESSIONS

For our next stop on Vendor 2 Vendor, we headed over to @quevietconcessions.

This year marks Que Viet Concession’s 10th year at the Minnesota State Fair, and after talking with them, we realized just how much goes into getting those giant egg rolls into the hands of fairgoers.

We’re talking a whole village behind the scenes.

Their production kitchen, their crew at the fair, and their aunties hand-rolling thousands and thousands of egg rolls.

How many?

55,000 to 60,000 this year. 😳

Pork, vermicelli noodles, garlic, onions, carrots, cabbage and their blend of seasonings, all hand rolled and ready to feed the fair.

We got to trade some food, talk a little shop, and of course, dig into the giant egg roll on a stick.

But what really stood out to us was hearing how much family and tradition goes into something that so many people simply know as “that giant egg roll.”

That’s what Vendor 2 Vendor is all about.

Getting to know the people behind the food, learning what it takes to make it happen, and sharing a bite along the way.

And now we’re wondering how many miles of egg roll 60,000 of them would make.

VENDOR 2 VENDOR: PETERSON’S PORK CHOPS

For our next stop on Vendor 2 Vendor, we headed over to @petersons_porkchoponastick

There are some foods at the Minnesota State Fair that just feel like part of the experience

For us, pork chops on a stick are definitely one of them.

We got the chance to meet the folks behind Peterson’s Pork Chops, talk a little shop, and of course, grab one of their famous grilled pork chops on a stick.

It’s simple, it’s delicious, and it’s exactly the kind of food you want when you’re walking around the fair.

But that’s the thing about the State Fair. Behind every familiar food is a vendor, a family, and a story that helps make the fair what it is.

That’s what Vendor 2 Vendor is all about.

Meeting our neighbors. Sharing a bite. Hearing their stories. And getting to know the people behind some of our favorite fair foods. ❤️

And yes, we absolutely needed a pork chop on a stick.
