EBUBE AGU N'ECHE OBODO

A KING BY NATURE, A WARRIOR BY DUTY.

This costume tells the story of a royal warrior who possesses power, courage, culture, and responsibility. He is a king who knows how to rule his people with grace, yet stands ready to defend them with every strength he possesses.

His headpiece speaks of royalty and authority, while his lion-headed shield represents courage, strength, and the fearless spirit of a protector. His battle axe is a reminder that a true warrior must be prepared to fight when the need arises.

The red velvet fabric and beads depicts pure royal status.

The cowries adorning his costume carry a deeper meaning, symbolising the connection between the physical and spiritual worlds. They represent protection, ancestral ties, and the unseen forces believed to guide and guard him on his journey.

Every detail has a purpose, and every element tells a story. This is more than a costume; it is a reflection of a ruler who understands that true royalty is not only about sitting on a throne, but also about protecting his people, honouring his heritage, and standing firm when his kingdom calls.

He wears the crown with grace, carries the shield with courage, and bears the spirit of a warrior who will never abandon his people.

AND SO IT BEGINS 🇳🇬🇬🇭

The moment I’ve been waiting and working towards is finally here. I have officially departed for Ghana to represent Nigeria at Man of Africa Universe 2026, and honestly, this feeling is hard to put into words.

Looking back at how this journey started, the delays, the challenges, the lessons, and all the moments that tested my faith, I’m grateful to God for bringing me this far. It hasn’t been the easiest journey, but I’m here, and I’m ready to give this my very best.

I carry more than a title and a sash. I carry the hopes of everyone who has believed in me, supported me, and stood by me even when the journey wasn’t clear.

As the competition officially begins, I ask that you continue to stand with me. Keep me in your prayers, support my journey, and let’s make Nigeria proud together. Every show of love means more than you know.

Nigeria, let’s do this! 🇳🇬❤️

With love, Uko Weldon

Today, we celebrate Nigeria — not because everything is perfect, but because we still believe in the promise of this country.

We have faced difficult times, navigated uncertainty, and endured seasons that have tested our patience and our faith. Yet, through it all, the Nigerian spirit remains strong. We continue to hope, to build, to dream and to believe that better days are ahead.

Nigeria is more than our present challenges. We are a people of resilience, creativity, strength and endless possibilities. I believe there is greatness in this nation, and with the right choices, opportunities and collective effort, we will see that greatness unfold.

May we never lose hope in Nigeria. May we keep doing our part to build the country we want to be proud of.

Happy Independence Day, Nigeria. 🇳🇬

Another year. Another chapter. Another reason to be grateful. 🤍🎂

Today, I’m not just celebrating my birthday. I’m celebrating the grace that carried me through everything I thought would break me.

I’ve had moments of doubt, disappointment, silent battles, and days when I questioned myself. But somehow, I’m still here. And for that alone, I am grateful.

My prayer for this new chapter is simple: May God give me the wisdom to recognize the opportunities meant for me, the courage to walk away from what isn’t, and the strength to keep becoming the man I was created to be.

May He bless the work of my hands, open doors no man can shut, and bring genuine people and meaningful opportunities into my life.

May my private prayers become public testimonies. May I have financial stability, peace of mind, good health, genuine love, and the wisdom to handle every blessing that comes my way.

I pray for growth without losing myself, success without losing my values, and visibility without losing my peace.

I’ve survived seasons I once thought I wouldn’t.

And I’m still becoming.

Happy birthday to me. 🥂👑❤️

Here’s to another year of healing, learning, building, loving, winning and growing.

May this be the year everything begins to make sense. Amen. 🙏🏽
