Ballin’ like Wilt in his prime 🏀 #100

100 pounds gone.

Last year, I wouldn’t even recognize the person I was. Not because I looked different, but because I had lost myself.

About 10 years ago, I stopped recognizing the person I was becoming. I spent years struggling, starting over, giving up, and wondering if I’d ever feel like myself again.

These last 9 months, I finally stopped running from the person I had become and started fighting for the person I knew was still in there.

It wasn’t perfect or easy, but I stayed consistent. I showed up on the good days, the bad days, and all the ordinary days in between.

It took me a decade to realize I wasn’t trying to become someone new. I was fighting my way back to the person I lost. And maybe that’s the part that hurts the most.

Knowing how many years I spent believing he was gone. How many times I looked in the mirror and wondered where he went. How many moments of my life passed while I was just trying to survive myself.

It took 10 years for me to finally look in the mirror and recognize him again. Losing the weight changed my body, but believing in myself again changed my life. For the first time in a long time, I became someone I could be proud of.

A year ago, I was surviving. Today, I’m finally living.

Dec. 1, 2025: 282lbs
Sept. 2, 2026: 182lbs
Timespan: 9 months

Goal: 165-170lbs

We’re really chasing consistency, accountability, and someone who shows up when life gets heavy.

In 2016, I was 180lbs, living and breathing bodybuilding. The gym wasn’t just where I trained, it was where I felt most like myself.

Then life happened..

Over the next decade, I fought battles that no one could see. My mental health slowly took over, and as it did, my physical health followed. I stopped recognizing the person in the mirror. I gained 100lbs in 10 years, and by 2025 I was 282lbs.

The hardest part wasn’t the weight. It was feeling like I had lost myself. I lost my happiness, confidence, motivation, passion, and much more.

Today, in 2026, I am now 190lbs. But this journey was never just about losing weight. It was about healing. Choosing myself every single day. Learning that progress isn’t about being perfect, it’s about being consistent and showing up, even when it’s hard.

I’m not trying to become the person I was in 2016. I’m becoming someone even stronger. Because after almost a decade of feeling lost, I finally found my way back to myself.

The scale says I lost over 90lbs, but finding myself again was the real victory, and that’s something no number on the scale could ever measure.

The person I prayed I’d become is finally looking back at me in the mirror. And that has been the greatest transformation of all.
