Hi 👋, I’m Iqra. I’m a creative entrepreneur and brand strategist building brands, exploring ideas, and figuring things out by actually making them. Here, I’ll be sharing the work behind the work brand strategy, identity, digital experiences, business & marketing thoughts, creative experiments, and the ventures I’m building along the way. Not everything will be perfect. That’s kind of the point. What do you want to see first builds, brand breakdowns, creative experiments, or the story behind it all? #creativeentrepreneur #brandstrategy #branding #creativedirection #personalbrand

I used to think good marketing meant looking perfect on camera. Then I studied Rare Beauty and realized I had it backwards. Selena didn't hide behind polished lighting or a scripted pitch. She sat down, no filter, and talked about her own anxiety about days she wasn't okay. That's it. That's the "campaign." And somehow that turned into a $2.7 billion brand. Here's what I think actually happened: people are exhausted by perfect. We've seen enough flawless skin, flawless smiles, flawless lives online to know none of it's real. So when someone finally says "I'm not okay, and I'm still worth showing up for" it doesn't feel like an ad. It feels like relief. That's the real marketing lesson hiding in this story: your audience isn't looking for a brand that has it all together. They're looking for one that's honest enough to admit it doesn't and still shows up anyway. Rare Beauty didn't sell makeup. It sold belonging. And that's a factor no amount of ad spend can fake. #rarebeauty #selenagómez #brandstorytelling #marketinglessons #authenticmarketing #beautyindustry #mentalhealthawareness #smallbusinessmarketing #marketingtips #businessstrategy #branding #marketing
