While this day of filming was planned and organized, this particular moment wasn’t scripted. This small gesture just shows how truly genuine and kind our @missamericawi is, every day.

We had just wrapped filming with an incredible group of kids, when @jordennebutler spotted one of them off to the side all by herself. She sat down with her for several minutes, just chatting, while the rest of the room emptied. It wasn’t just “for the cameras”. (I almost walked right past).

As she kicks off her week competing for #missamerica, our team will be screaming our support! Because if you’ve ever had the honor of meeting her, you’d know it’s impossible to not root for her.

If you’re looking for someone who is the epitome of what @missamerica is supposed to stand for - she’s right here.

Marushka rehearsals are on pause this week as many of our dancers are participating in MDU Ballet Intensive!

What a gift it is for them to learn from our guest teachers, Miss Cici and Miss Abby. We love having you with us!

Two days completed and already so much knowledge and growth has been gained. They have been busy in ballet technique, pointe, modern, strength and stretch, choreography, enrichment, contemporary, and variation classes.

Thank you @cici7h @abby.inglett.brant @simplydennis @chloejanebulman @oliviaservais_ for all that you pour into these kids 🤍

Misty Lown is the first woman Commodore for La Crosse' Riverfest, which had been happening since 1983. But it looks like she won't be the last. #girlpower

Before the season flies by, we want to take a moment to recognize the kindness shown to us while we adjusted sails for Fridays. These people and businesses/ entities were there for us when we needed support- and we know just how crucial a healthy-but-usually-unseen network is to produce fruits to harvest. Thank you for sowing the seeds of kindness so all of our neighbors can continue to access locally grown foods fresh from the Driftless. 💕

While we did feel abundantly hopeful about Pearl Street, we also were fatigued by the need to prove we deserve a place downtown or that we aren’t there to take business from others- so the delivery truck road block ended up leading us on a beautiful alternate route. Thank you to the vendors who wrote passages about how important the farmers market is not only for their families but also all of yours- and for dedicating not just years but decades to keeping soils rich and showing up for the community.

We lived, we learned and the right thing happened at the last minute. And from what I’ve learned from farmers- you shoot for the sky and the aim is to land among the stars. THANK YOU ALL for being stars ✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨

the hardest goodbyes ever, but my heart is so full🤍

these last few years have given me something so much more than dance- they gave me life lasting friendships, memories, and the most special people i could have ever asked for. getting to teach, choreograph, laugh, and grow alongside all of these dancers and teachers has truly changed me in ways i will never be able to explain.
thank you all for trusting me, growing with me, making rehearsals and classes unforgettable, and letting me be a part of your journeys. leaving is so bittersweet, but i feel so incredibly lucky to have loved something, and so many people, this much.
a piece of my heart will forever be with you all🫶🏼
