As a Deaf activist, it is an incredible honor to be part of the Being Heumann movie. Judy Heumann was the true mother of the disability rights movement, and her fight resonates deeply with me. Our community is still fighting for our rights, full accessibility, universal ramps, safety, and equality. A massive thank you to @sianheder.director and @appletv for bringing us together for a special screening with the 504 crew. I am endlessly grateful for this circle of friends and this unbreakable bond. Always 504. I love you all. Catch us in theatres and on Apple TV this November!

We fight in her honour. 🤟🏻

Being Heumann is a reminder of why we must continue to fight for our rights, accessibility, and our place in society—to prove that we are still here and that our voices matter.

Thank you to making a movie and giving us an accessible set ever, to @sianheder.director and @sitting_pretty.

Watch it on November 13 on Apple TV!

The 504 gang 🤟🏻💕 it was an honour to act and watch a movie together!

If I had a nickel for every time our car broke down on the way to Canada, I’d have 2 nickels. Which is not a lot, but it’s weird that it happened twice!
It was the most beautiful weekend despite the horrors of travel day one. I reunited with my dear pal @mitch.bruce2598 (literally the best host omg 5 stars). Noah Kahan made me sob on several occasions. The Mets lost a game, we went to Fenway Park!
My heart is beyond full!!
Time to get to work.

OFF-BROADWAY DEBUT✅😵

I had the time of my life leading @theopeningoffbway !! This new original musical is hilarious, sharp, and insanely fun. Playing Newton, a role with so much responsibility (not to mention learning all the chess moves) was such a rewarding challenge.
This show was also written by my OWN FRIENDS @togetherwiththesparrows and @mateochavezlewis !! Pairing that with a cast of more friends and a team led by @nickflatto , I was living the dream :) …even during the Great Freezing of New York™️. I’m so so thankful for the trust and support I felt from my NY community and beyond! Ok see you at the next one!!

Every good game (and every great musical about a game) must come to an end, and this is no exception.

My time with this production was nothing short of remarkable. Apart from being my Off-Broadway debut and first full musical in six years, this inter-national/generational/disciplinary team showed me what true dedication was. Through sickness, snow, and setbacks, we delivered five weeks of performances that left audiences roaring. @mateochavezlewis , @togetherwiththesparrows , and @nickflatto made something truly unforgettable. And not just because the music was so damn catchy!

Thanks to @katieclaire_h and @nschwartz_ for keeping us to task behind the scenes, and our AMAZING band (@anthonysperos @darrendutton01 @shawn.berman.bass @ajchoffo ) who left it all in pit night after night.

I would trade all the nights in Bangkok for one more night on the Sixty-Four Squares 👑

Sorry Mets fans 😬 the much requested lyric video to I Can’t Lose - the coda!

This song is about grandmaster Carson Marlsen who simply can’t lose. Unlike all these other losers 🤪 It’s from The Opening, the new off-broadway musical inspired the 2022 chess cheating scandal. Only TEN performances left!

Come on down to The Players Theatre Thursday-Sunday this week and next. Discounts on TDF, todaytix, our website, for students, and of course a limited number of free tickets if you bring your own 🍑🔌!

[The Opening was written by Brooke Di Spirito and Mateo Chavez Lewis, directed by Nick Flatto, and this video features @ocallaghan.h as Carson!]
