🔥 FULL CIRCLE MOMENT, CHIEFS KINGDOM!

The Chief Concerns crew is celebrating the Kansas City Chiefs keeping Jake Briningstool on the 53-man roster and we’ve got the receipts! 👀

🎥 FLASHBACK to April 26, 2025, the day the Chiefs signed Briningstool as an undrafted free agent, former Chiefs TE Jason Dunn featured Jake weeks prior on our pre-draft show as a guy he wanted the Chiefs to draft.

Jason Dunn and the crew were believers in his talent from Day 1.

Fast forward to today…

🏈 JAKE BRININGSTOOL MADE THE 53!

The patience. The development. The opportunity.

Now the Chiefs get to see what this young tight end can become. Congratulations to the entire Briningstool family!

Day 11 of Chiefs training camp was a day of RETURNS and perhaps the most important return wasn't even a player.

After being away from the team while supporting his wife, Eric Bieniemy was back at Chiefs camp today. 🙏

His presence was immediately noticeable, with players and coaches hearing that familiar energy back on the practice field. And clearly, Andy Reid was happy to have his offensive coordinator back.

🏈 On the field, Patrick Mahomes continued attacking downfield, connecting with Tyquan Thornton and camp standout Cyrus Allen on multiple deep throws.

👀 Jake Briningstool is quietly putting together an impressive camp at tight end after missing most of last year's camp with an injury.

🧱 With Trey Smith still sidelined with a hip issue, Kahlil Benson continues to get valuable first-team reps this time at right guard after spending much of camp at right tackle.

And Kingsley Suamataia had plenty of praise for the undrafted rookie, who is being asked to learn multiple positions along the offensive line.

More injury updates:
✅ Ashton Gillotte returned in pads
✅ Xavier Worthy returned in pads
🟡 Mansoor Delane remains limited in a yellow jersey
🚫 Drue Tranquill and L'Jarius Sneed were held out

Chiefs Camp Day 9 Biggest Takeaways:

✅ Cyrus Allen returned to practice after avoiding a major injury—a great sign for one of camp's breakout rookies.
⚠️ Trey Smith was held out with a hip injury. Andy Reid said he'll see a specialist but stressed it's precautionary as the Chiefs prioritize having him healthy for the season.
🏈 With the preseason opener just a week away, Reid also addressed whether Patrick Mahomes will see game action and gave an update on the team's plan for their franchise quarterback.
🔥 Two defenders continue to turn heads:
Felix Anudike-Uzomah is putting together his best camp yet and looks determined to prove he belongs.
R Mason Thomas continues to impress with how advanced his pass-rush technique already looks as a rookie.
👀 More interesting developments: with Trey Smith sidelined, Kahlil Benson shifted to right guard, while Jaylon Moore took the first-team reps at right tackle. The Chiefs are clearly still searching for their best offensive line combination before Week 1. Second year Tight End Jake Briningstool continues to get more reps with the first team offense.

I first saw @jakebriningstool play football at a 7v7 tournament in Myrtle Beach. At the time he was on one of @cam ‘s @c1n teams and had committed to play for @clemsonnfb.
As a receiving TE, Jake’s size and speed have set him apart. And his hard work resulted in his being the all time leader in receiving yards as a TE at Clemson.
It’s been incredible for me to watch his development during his four years in college, and it’s been an honor to photograph some awesome moments he’s had on the field and off.
I took a few of those images and created some digital art for him and his family to commemorate his time as a Clemson Tiger.
Today, he took part in Pro Day at Clemson, his last time to wear the paw.
He’s going to represent himself, his family and @clemsonuniversity well as he begins his professional career, and I cannot wait to see him shine at the next level.
