Biomedical engineering major Mitchell Steele used paid internship experiences and campus involvement to build a strong foundation in engineering and human performance. Now, with graduation approaching, Mitchell is ready for the next chapter as a #ShockerGrad 🎓🌾

Fun fact: In a dance battle, he’s pulling a friend in for partner moves — and if needed, he’s got the worm ready. Mitchell stands on a rocky mountaintop with a clear blue sky and distant mountain range behind. They hold a sign reading "Mount Sherman 14,036 ft" and wear a cap and sunglasses. Their shirt displays "Wichita State.

The best end to the best summer. Session 3 was a gift to me!

Forever grateful for this ministry and the way the Lord continues to use it to shape me and grow me. Being a part of campers experiencing the full, abundant life that Jesus freely gives us was a huge blessing and I am so grateful for all the people I got to do it with. He doesn’t need me yet He chooses to use me and my life looks different because of it. What a God we get to serve! Thank you Lord

Search me, O God, and know my heart! Try me and know my thoughts! And see if there be any grievous way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting!

CHS YL alum Mitch Steele GO BIG BLUE!! 💙💙 is an ALL SUMMER ☀️ intern at Young Life’s Crooked Creek Ranch 🗻this summer!

Mitch is loving his time there and told us, “It’s been so much fun to see Young Life camp from a new perspective and see the intentionality behind it. And hanging out with my co-interns and hiking 🏔️ and exploring Colorado!” 🥾🥾

When asked what God has been showing him, Mitch shared, “there has been so many times of imagery that God has made apparent with different events and interactions with campers and others on camp. 🏕️ God is working in everything, sometimes I just need to pause and look around!”👀

Thanks Mitch for serving at camp in this way! BONUS 🎯 Mitch is also a college student at Wichita State University GO SHOCKERS! 🖤💛where he also volunteers as a YL leader! 🙌🏻
