First day of practice at the Mt Bachelor @nw_cup my camera was set to photo instead of video. I didn’t get any film to study but I got some fun photos to remember the weekend.

Unfortunately this place chewed me up and spit me out. I struggled with my confidence this race and with my strength. I ended up not taking a lap under some misguided self preservation. In my head at only 302 days after my second shoulder surgery, I wasn’t able to overcome the fear and put together a solid lap. I’m kicking myself for not being the racer that I thought I was. I’ve learned an important lesson in no matter how long you’ve been at this sport, or how many times you’ve lined up in the start gate, the mental battle to put together a lap never ceases. I can’t change the past only learn from it. The next race at Stevens Pass, I will be prepared, and I will be better.

NW Cup round one is in the books! Great weekend of shuttles, pancakes, and a surprise rain storm for finals. I wasn’t able to keep the mustard on the hot dog when it counted, we’ll try again next time.

2024 Mashup, Lots of progression this year I’m very excited to see where 2025 takes me. I want to give a huge thanks to my racing partner and best friend @aidan_schuh for always pushing me and always believing in me, constantly proving to me that I can be more than just your average mountain biker. I wouldn’t be at the level I’m at today without him. Another Thank you to all my closest friends and family for believing in me on this journey I am taking on it means everything to me. 2024 has for sure been the best year of my life.

We would love to introduce you to these fun Outpost employees 🎉

MITCH- Meet Mitchell Savarese from Mt. Shasta, CA, a true two-wheel enthusiast. He grew up racing dirt bikes and transitioned to mountain biking around the age of 16 when he got his first job as a bike mechanic. Mitch soon realized that a mountain bike fit much more easily in his Subaru than a motocross bike – it’s been all downhill from there. He is our newest addition to the mechanic team, and we love his energy!

Which DH race is your favorite and why?- It’s tough for me to pick just one event. Every race where there are good vibes and steep trails are my favorite! New venues are always rad. The search for new lines seems to always bring a new level of enthusiasm and camaraderie among competitors.

VICTORIA- She is our longest-serving sales specialist at the Outpost. Originally from California, she moved to Colorado to complete her undergraduate studies. She has now been living in Bellingham for over 2 years. Pursuing her passion, Victoria is currently enrolled at Bellingham Technical College to earn a second degree in nursing. Victoria and Mila are also talented artists—have you noticed the beautiful beer signs around the place? We greatly appreciate her presence on the team as she brings a lot of joy.

What bike is currently your favorite bike?- The Patrol.
It’s super playful and its capabilty gives me a lot of confidence! I’ve definitely conquered a lot of my fears knowing how capable the bike is!

MILA- She perhaps is the most delightful Outpost employee you’ll ever encounter. Originally from Colorado, she comes to us with a background in sales from a charming ski shop. Mila joined our team this spring and has since become a ray of sunshine in the office. Her infectious enthusiasm ensures that everyone leaves with a smile. We love having you.

If you could custom paint your bike, what would it look like? - It would look like a disco ball with a shag carpet fender.

Stoked to grab 3rd this weekend in Cat 1 for round 6 of the @nw_cup 🥉Was honestly a very rough weekend spraining my ankle on Friday mid practice and having another big fall during Saturday’s practice also ending that day early and destroying my chain ring. Definitely not the run I was looking for, but was happy to keep it clean on race day. Took 4th last weekend at Tamarack for round 5 so keeping it consistent🤘
