POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

it’s been a month since a magical thing happened in an old barn from 1847 on the open lands of coyote and oak savannah. @iangeorgemusic and i had heard the stirrings of this event in the old beams and dust of this place for some time and what was actually created was better than i could have ever imagined. catalyzed by the sheer overwhelming love of our community. these days i really think the most rebellious thing we can do, in the face of fascism is to come together to make beauty & hold on to hope. hope is rebellious as fuck! some big thank you’s are in order: @iangeorgemusic for being the buk up to my get down & believing in this just as much as me and for the knee pockets playing for the people

@caseyandthecutoffs starting the night off right with their brilliance, and both @caseyjminnick and @maxmalcomb holding down the sound going above & beyond

@the_withies for responding to the call of the moment and creating the most perfect swirling dance floor and probably reminding that old barn of it’s youth. peak moment.

@moth_daughter for the face melting rock and roll- we all really needed that. one of my fave quotes of the night was from @move_like_human when he said “youre about to witness a man with a guitar get down on his knees and cry”

@slowcorpse for always delivering the absolute vibe and closing out the live music with a cherry on top (probably with the stem tied in a knot cuz y’all sexy like that)

@carliewebbert DJ chef carl for making my late night barn dance vibes come true and being absolutely ATTUNED to the vibe. whew she really brings the heat folks. to sarah and jeff! for trusting us to throw a big ol barn hoedown party on land and community you steward so lovingly. @aurora_wakingup for the lighting and inspiration. @ladybirdlilith and @birdkisss for the utterly stunning hand painted signs (suck on that, AI!) @carliewebbert @_jake_abel @big__gulp @jornico1 for bringing so much care, energy, and love to this thing while y’all were on vacation. you the best. @_balladir_ for puppeteering & being a guaranteed freak permissionary. a true gift for the people. @buckhornvalleyfarm for feeding the people the most local lamb goodness.

Pish posh its SUMMAHTIME babyyyy. Been havin lots of fun the past few months, so I’ve come here to post about all of the fun-ness.

I’m finding it really fulfilling to create art with my friends. It’s good to do things you can fully get behind when you can, and making music is one of those things for me.

Don’t let the bastards win! Sing a song, plant a plant, be happy, be sad, be angry! We gotta just keep chuggin. No choice but to chug and try our best.

The moment we lose faith in ourselves is the moment we lose what makes us us. So keep tryin, keep pushin urself. Be nice to urself and each other and don’t forget to drink good beverages! And go fukin sox bro !!!

🌀 Xoxo happy dawg dayz ahead 🌀
