ARTSHOLE DESK-LAPSE // A somewhat small portion of the amazing creative times had at @theartshole over the last 15 years. So much art and so many good times had at my desk over the years, countless Art Jams, hangs and developing my work through so many mediums of creativity. Mad love to all my studio mates and my studio desk.

15 Years of the Arts Hole - I’ve been lucky enough to have been apart of the hole for 14/15 years, looking back we’ve had such a crazy wild ride! I think I may be the only one to have to come in a present a folio to @_ohnoes @eaao_ and @stayingcheative to get a spot 😂

Multitude of highlights include @lc174 studio muffin bakes, @crisis_irl flying in to paint large things for chasing ghosts, Jev’s 6 hour pasta cooks, 6YL launches, passing a 6m aux cord for playing pandora radio only for someone to run their chair over it and break it and having to buy another 3 aux cords, @stayingcheative che-web, @kewks.studio playing hours of Dota, Scotty hyper realism, @boywolf cursing his Indonesian screen printer for fucking up a bunch of tees again, 6 of us lifting that large format printer up into the hole only to have our front door stolen, Coming in to see a giant piece of metal cut out of the wall to open up the back section, the creation of @redwoodpress - the creation of @dodgy.paper - @facter hunched over making toy moulds, Gav sneaking food to Lola, patterson project, artshole repping at Melbourne Meeting of Styles, @saulattack efforts to showcase eating a big mac in two bites, pizza tuesdays, all the paste up missions, sticker making and drain expos that were planned and all the rad people that have stopped past left a sketch or hung out or kicked on at the hole for drinks after gallery openings at rtist, just another, backwoods, marfa, metro, otk, bside, no vacancy.

This Friday @union_heights - 82 Chapel St, Windsor - we’re having a little show to celebrate the 15 years of Artshole. 6-8:30pm and a Day party / Live paint on Saturday 10th October, 11-5pm

Shouts to @mtnaustralia @dodgy.paper @carltondry @estrelladamm & @hwjcreative for keeping this moving!

🏞️ Vibrancy Unleashed

Feel the pulse of creativity at Rotary Park, where vibrant hues and dynamic designs have transformed the skate bowl into a canvas of energy and excitement. As you stand before this striking mural, you’re greeted by bold pinks and blues that dance across the surfaces, capturing the thrill and spirit of the park’s youthful visitors.

👇Project Highlights

📩The Brief
The Skate Bowl Park needed a splash of color and creativity to energize the space, making it more inviting for the community. The goal was to create a mural that reflects the vibrant and dynamic nature of a skate park, using graffiti styles and abstract patterns.

🪄The Process
Mitch embraced this challenge with open arms, dedicating 100 hours to crafting a mural that seamlessly integrates with the park’s architecture. His use of contrasting colors and bold, graphic designs showcases his skill in creating art that resonates with the park’s youthful spirit and aesthetic.

📍 Location
Port Augusta West SA, Australia

⭐️Client Feedback
“Mitch’s artwork has transformed the Park, bringing color, vibrancy, and new life to a space that was beginning to look tired.”

✨The Takeaway
This project proves that art can breathe new life into public spaces, creating environments that are not only visually stunning but also community-centric. It’s a testament to the power of creativity in transforming everyday places into extraordinary experiences.

Mitch Walder’s work is packed with characters, colour, chaos and tiny details waiting to be discovered.

Bring it into the digital space and those worlds come alive. Characters shift, eyes blink, objects bounce and new moments reveal themselves across the screen.

The longer you look, the more you find.

Watch This. @mitchwalder

Big colour, cool characters and a whole lot going on. Adelaide-based artist Mitch Walder joins the Watch This! Studio lineup.

Mitch’s work jumps between murals, illustration, mixed media and animation, building dense, playful worlds packed with characters, movement and unexpected details. His work already feels like it wants to move — which makes the jump from the wall to the screen a pretty natural one.

We’re stoked to have Mitch bringing his world to Watch This! Studio.

Press play on street art. Watch This! @mitchwalder

We asked you to submit your best t-shirt design for the chance to win 100 custom printed tees.

Safe to say... you kept us entertained. 😅

A huge thanks to everyone who entered. We loved seeing the ideas come through, and after a lot of deliberation, we’ve picked a winner.

Congratulations to @mitchwalder 🎉

We’re keeping the winning design under wraps for now, but before long there’ll be 100 of Mitch’s tees out in the world. Hopefully we spot a few in the wild. 👀

If you’re not already following Mitch, go check out his work. He’s an incredibly talented artist, and we can’t wait to share the final print with you all.

Stay tuned for the reveal...
