Happy New Year all! Hope everyone has had a good few weeks to recover and regroup. I sure needed the break…

I’m going to try to do some of @jehane_ltd ‘s “Golden Thread 2024” this year. I’m sure I won't be able to do all of it - but it's nice to have something to work towards.

The first theme/thread is “Tokyo story”, and the first week’s prompt is “Japanese Cranes”. Oh my goodness - the orient, AND birds! Couldn't find a more MITHI prompt if you tried :) Am a day behind as you know, life … but am happy with where I got to. Possible Valentines card perhaps?

Swipe through to see some workings out.

Sneaky peek of a personal piece I've been working on for months! Goes in fits and starts. The actual making took a long time. Then I sat with the bisque fired sculpture for weeks ; scared to ruin it by glazing it. Eventually have succumbed to the fact that pottery shuts in a month for summer!

Have spent 6 months working on this on-and-off. Still not sure this is it's final version, or if it will stay a mobile (automata perhaps?), but wanted it ready for display at the @bs4artstrail this weekend.

Come find me at venue 12!

Hello again friends! If you’ve been meaning to get something from me, and been wondering where from, well wonder no longer! I will be at the @bs4artstrail next weekend (24th &25th June, 10-4, both days)! It has slightly snuck up on me, but I am really really looking forward to being hosted by my gorgeous friend Jess @thecorbeaupress at her house (venue 12, just south of Arnos Vale Cemetery). Digital map available on the BS4 Arts Trail website.

I will have cards, ceramics, collages and prints available. I will also have with me the giclee prints of my Bristol boats that I’m retiring at the end of July. 50% of the profits from the sale of the boat prints will go to the @underfallyard trust (see my pinned post about it) .

Apart from Jess and myself, we will also have @ruthanderprints , @ruth.broadway , and @lindseykingdesign . What a fantastic group of women! Come visit us next weekend :)
