Maddah's Day weekend started on Lana'i...and is still going!

Thank you to the Divinas for letting us join the paint party. Glad I didn't paint or else I'd still be there painting. Boog not so skilled with the brush but had fun making her entire canvas a mix of every single color...plus glitter. And so much fun with Zayda!

Actual day more chill. Boog woke up with slight fever so opihi action which meant paw patrol, naps and cuddles while Daddy hunt...
No shishi accidents which apparently means lets take our panties off and put them on our head...
Bernie came to offer moral support for our flight home...
Perfected our Shaka on the plane (lost that skill by this morning)...
Ended the night with my present that's now on my desk hidden by stacks of work. Is it me or does her head look like an alien?

Then top it all off with Popcorn Dinner watching Top Gun without Boog...

We celebrated Bruddah David’s first heavenly birthday last night in Kona @konabrewinghawaii Our awesome brewers @konabrewer & @andrethebrewer put together some lilikoi, some mango, bunch of hops and a ton of their aloha into a special brew that we’re calling the “Bruddah David”. David LOVED sour beers, and this “tarte” beer was perfectly flavored, tarte, light, and refreshing! I know he would’ve LOVED it! And the commemorative glass…over the top! Mahalo NUI to all the Kona Brewing Ohana that helped put this together. It was an intimate gathering with some of David’s family, his work ohana from KOA, and a few other bruddahs. You are sorely missed, my bruddah. One life, right? 🍻 🤙🏽

Heres what the beer description says: Brewed in honor of our dear friend David Hekili Kenui Bell - lovingly known as “Bruddah David” - this tart ale celebrates a true local legend whose spirit of aloha was as vast as it was genuine. Bright mango and tangy liliko lead the way, offering a refreshing tropical acidity that’s smooth yet vibrant like a Kona sunset. Light, crisp, and full of mana, this beer is a tribute to a bruddah who lived with heart, humor, and generosity.

Kona Bruddahs on tv, brothers off screen.

David and i reconnected in 2014 at our first Kona Brew commercial wardrobe fitting. We had been acquaintances, friends of friends prior to that, tho i had not seen him for about 16 years. Once we started talking story and catching each other up on life, it was as if we’d been friends forever. Our friends became closer friends, and our families took us in as theirs. We got to meet some really great people along the way, and took pics with some famous ones here and there.

It was our family and friends, however, who remained our biggest supporters and ego-checkers, and we were always grateful for the love💕 As i scrolled thru the photos and reignited the memories of our journey together, the ones that got me the most were these pics…the ones we took with Ohana…pili ka moo a mau loa…our stories are forever intertwined. The results are in for the Polynesia Region, and our incredible bodysurfers have qualified to represent their region at the 2025 World Finals in Australia, taking place from April 28 to May 7! 🎉🇦🇺

Dinner will be provided!

There will be a short presentation about luau logistics, and tables designated by committee names (Food Prep, Transportation, Imu, etc.) so 24th/23rd and any other volunteers can meet each other and talk to Marcia (cafeteria), bartenders, Imu Gang Emeritus, etc. and clarify/ask questions.
