Someone has to stand up for those doing it tough.

After my earlier video about the NSW Government’s coffee cup policy and the people sleeping on our streets, Dawie shared his experience of sleeping rough.

He described waiting in the rain at Martin Place for food, alongside more than 100 other people.

While they waited, a woman walked past with her children and told them not to talk to “these ugly people”.

Dawie said they were left feeling demoralised and erased.

Just stop and think about that for a moment.

People who were already struggling to find food and somewhere safe to sleep were made to feel like they didn’t matter.

Thank you, Dawie, for sharing your story.

I’m sorry you were treated that way.

People experiencing homelessness are people.

They deserve to be seen, listened to and treated with the same dignity and respect as anyone else.

If our elected leaders refuse to stand up for those doing it tough, then someone has to.

At @passitonclothing, we’ll keep showing up, listening and speaking out.

We’ll keep asking why people are sleeping on the streets within sight of Parliament House, and why we aren’t doing more to make sure everyone has somewhere safe to call home.

We can all play a part.

Say hello.

Listen.

Show some kindness.

It’s sad we can’t follow the lead of the people elected to represent all of us.

I had an interesting week behind the wheel of the Mitsubishi Triton Raider.

I’m no stranger to factory and aftermarket modified four wheel drives, with the former seemingly a thing on the market of late. This Triton Raider entered hotly contested territory, where it goes up against the likes of the Ford Ranger Tremor, Isuzu Dmax Blade and even its stablemate the Nissan Navara Pro 4X.

It undercuts all of them though, with a strong $75,000 driveway proposition, with well thought out additions that will help you get a little further away from the rat race.

I was particularly impressed by the ride, a dramatic improvement on the GSR it is based on and just as good as the Ranger which I see as the market leader in terms of comfort and capability.

Where it does miss out is in the drivetrain, which remains unchanged. To be clear, it’s not a bad thing, but it does feel underpowered especially in comparison to the 3L turbodiesel V6 in the Ranger.

Definitely a worthy competitor though, which leaves a little extra in the kitty to make more fit for individual purpose.

More to come.

Second place, and plenty to smile about! ❤️

Pass it On finished runner-up in the 2026 @westfieldparramatta Local Heroes awards, and we want to thank everyone who voted, shared and got behind us.

After nine years of showing up in Parramatta, this recognition means a lot.

It belongs to our volunteers, supporters and the people who trust us to be part of their week.

Congratulations to Claudine from Red Frogs on the win, and to our fellow finalist.

Thank you to Westfield Parramatta for backing people working to make a difference in our community.

We’ll keep showing up, building relationships and passing on clothing, confidence and dignity.

Here’s an idea… do it tomorrow.

If we’re calling homelessness a crisis, then let’s start acting like it.

Identify vacant buildings that could safely provide accommodation.

Fast-track the work needed.

Fund the people and support services to make it happen.

Start tomorrow.

At Pass it On Clothing, we spend time with people who need somewhere safe to sleep tonight.

A door they can close.

A bathroom.

Somewhere to keep their belongings without fear of them being stolen.

Every delay means another night outside for someone.

We need permanent housing, absolutely.

But we also need an urgent response for people who cannot wait for it.

Let’s see the same urgency in getting people inside that we see in getting an announcement into the news.

After 6yrs travelling Australia as a family, we know what we need in a vehicle. Swipe to see what we are loving about the Mitsubishi Triton GSR —>

From soft sand to water crossings, the Super Select 4WD-I features gives us the confidence to take the road less traveled, even as newbies in the 4x4 world.

A little bit of comfort goes a long way when you spend this much time on the road, especially when you are used to driving a 2012 bus with no extra comforts.

Our maps, music and everything we need for the drive, all connected and ready for the adventure. This might be my all time favourite feature.

Because family road trips are a whole lot better when everyone has room to stretch out and in Nyahs case room for all her toys.

All the gear, all the adventure essentials and still room for more. The spacious tray is a game changer for a family with a million hobbies like us. We have room for skateboards, SUPs, a BBQ and so much more and it’s all covered by an electric roll top tonneau cover!

More than just getting from A to B. It’s the freedom to explore further, find those hidden gems and say yes to the adventures that come with them.
