First taste 001: You had to be there 📍📍

and this post is to thank everyone who actually was there and gave the much needed energy to close out the summer - it’s finally fall so we can really start dressing ✨✨✨

A wonderful way to close out AAPI Heritage Month this weekend at From Sea to SEA: The NYC Southeast Asian Festival.

A huge thank you to @fromseatoseanyc, @vcs.nyc, @dear_community, and all of the organizers and community partners who brought together such a thoughtful celebration of Southeast Asian culture, creativity, food, music, and community. As an AAPI founder, now building Achilles Heat® here in Brooklyn, it meant a lot to be invited to be part of a day that highlighted so many talented Southeast Asian artists, makers, writers, performers, and small businesses.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by our table to sample Achilles Heat® Smoked Chili Crisp and our lineup of smoked hot sauces, share stories, ask questions, and take home a jar or bottle. The support, encouragement, and conversations throughout the day made this a truly special event.

We especially loved sampling the incredible treats from fellow vendors including @mixingbowlmama @toastsupperclub and @selerakitchennyc. And a special shout out to @bepnho.nyc. We loved your bánh mì sandwich, topped with a spoonful of @achilles_heat Smoked Chili Crisp. It was the perfect lunch bite and a delicious reminder of how beautifully Southeast Asian flavors can come together across cultures and traditions.

A special thank you to Bushwick artist @danilo_parrales and @birthdayrubyy for helping out throughout the day. From setup to breakdown, sampling, conversations, and everything in between, I couldn’t have done it without you. Grateful to have such wonderful friends and community around Achilles Heat®.

Looking forward to staying connected with all of the wonderful vendors, artists, and organizations we met, and hopefully cooking up some exciting collaborations together soon.

The ocean doesn’t discriminate: it responds to those who dare.
Here we learn to fall without fear and rise with style.
Waves that challenge us, laughter that holds us, girls who never give up.💪⚓️🌺

Space to move, breathe, and trust.
When women come together with the right intention, something powerful happens.
The rest is learned in the water 🌊

Energy is trained just like the mind.
When you choose thoughts that uplift and an attitude rooted in presence, movement shifts, confidence shows up, and everything starts to feel lighter.
The rest… flows.⚓️🪸🐚

My (early) 40th birthday weekend was an absolute dream, full of my favorite things: good food, spa treatments, wine tasting, hiking, waterfalls, margaritas, games, deep convos, aperol spritzes, & even live music! But my favorite part, by far, was seeing my best friends from all my eras have fun & laugh together 🫶🪩🤍🥂

Nothing beats the feeling when you take one bite and know deep down in your heart that another order is necessary for the table 🔒🥰🔂

When you use the 8it app, your chances of that happening increase by 158% everyday, it’s science 👨🏽‍🔬
