Honestly the trip was so amazing, between the views, animals, hikes, and more. It truly was a captivating trip. Some of the stats from our trip include:

Warm weather means time for those beautiful beach days in Michigan, especially with your dogs. Did you know Michigan State Parks have tons of dog friendly beaches across the state?

A few rules for dog friendly beaches in the Michigan State Parks:
🛑Dogs are not allowed in buoyed swim/bathing areas and areas with signs stating no dogs, including where piping plover nesting habitats are.
🦮 Dogs must be on a 6ft leash even if in the water.
🐶Pick up after your pup and be respectful of other beach goers.

Some of our favorite dog-friendly beaches in the Michigan State Parks are:
🐾 Porcupine Mountains Wilderness State Park: along the Lake Superior shoreline.
🐾 Port Crescent State Park: along the Lake Huron shoreline, other than the buoyed swim area in the modern campground.
🐾 South Higgins Lake State Park: three pet-friendly beach areas, including one along a section of shoreline in the day-use area, two in the campground with one being in the campers-only area.
🐾 Saugatuck Dunes State Park: along the Lake Michigan shoreline.
🐾 Hoffmaster State Park: along the Lake Michigan shoreline other than the buoyed swim area.

Happy #906 day! 🫶

The U.P. is one of the greatest treasures on this earth. It is such a unique place to explore, including one of my favorites, the beautiful Little Presque Isle Natural Area. No matter the time of day or year, it is a beautiful spot to take hike or just relax along the shores of Lake Superior.
