It was a cold day when we visited Mix’d, the remnants of the year’s heaviest frost still lingering in the air. Once inside however, it was as if we had been transported across the equator into a sunlit beach front bar on the Mediterranean. The views across the Bay to Bay View and beyond were striking and the bar radiated an air of sophistication, the perfect backdrop for an afternoon Negroni. We were in the masterful hands of Manager Jess and she presented us her Spiced Mango Negroni, a creative and devilishly easy to drink riff. With its marmalade infused Gin and Mango infused Campari, presented with a Mix’d stamped ice cube and a dehydrated Mango leather for garnish, this was a smart looking and great tasting Negroni that is bound to be a hit over the coming summer months. Of note Jess informed us that during Negroni Week, Mix’d will have 5 other Negronis on their list, making Mix’d the Negroni hotspot. Spiced Mango Negroni 30ml homemade marmalade infused bombay sapphire gin 30ml House infused spiced mango Campari 30ml Dolin rouge vermouth Garnished with house made mango leather Orange, pink hue. Floral fruity mango, orange and spice aromas Intense spicy, mango, orange palate with a sweet fruity finish. Bright spiced fruit punch style.

Once again, we have Napier's finest venues vying for the city's most coveted trophies. Nineteen venues will be serving up a classic negroni or a modern riff, or both. Thank you all so much for the amazing support. With just under 2 weeks to go, we are now completely sold out! Honestly, that is pretty damm dope! As the event is now at capacity, there will be no door sales available. Please be wary of scammers trying to sell tickets! Thank you again for grabbing tickets and backing what we do. By coming along, you’re not only supporting the artists, sound crew, and venue, you’re also helping create a beautiful community of safe spaces, aroha and dance floor magic. We can’t wait to party with you all. @dj.untz @reneemacliveshere @torigang @bradwyatt_dj_shutter @sneekyakadjsoph @a_on_aka_alisterhoukamau @mixdcocktailbar
