What can you expect from the
ImThatGuy6338 Podcast Show?

“Expect the unexpected!”

Urban music history, vinyl mixed with instinct—and selections that refuse to follow the obvious.

A million people owned the same records.

Only one heard them this way.

I never miss the opportunity to meet a hero and tell them how much they shaped my life. Thank you Mix Master Ice for all your contributions to hip-hop and for being such a huge part of why I fell in love with rap music and DJ culture. You are a legend and a gracious human being. #utfo #leaderofthepack #mixmasterice

SERIOUSLY… What mixes better than Art, Music & friends❓❓❓Is it PB&J, Mac & Cheese, Jack & Coke, Mashed Potatoes & Gravy, Campfire & Stories, A Book & A Bed, Cottage Cheese & Olives 🤣 …. All I know is the sweet spot of life, is hanging with loved ones, while enjoying good sounds, all while creating things to bring it all together ❗️It’s an unbreakable trifecta…

THE GREATEST STORY THAT’S NEVER BEEN TOLD: THE ORIGIN OF MIKEY ICE

When I was a teenager, one of the hip-hop groups that had a major influence on me was UTFO. At that time, I was going by the name Little Uprock, a name connected to my early years as a dancer.

While listening to UTFO, I became especially inspired by their legendary DJ, Mix Master Ice. His ability to mix, scratch, and control the turntables caught my attention immediately. His creativity and skills behind the decks represented another powerful side of hip-hop culture that I greatly respected.

That inspiration eventually influenced me to adopt a new name: Mikey Ice.

For me, the name is more than just a nickname. It represents a chapter of my teenage years, my love for hip-hop culture, and the artists who inspired me along the way.

Decades later, I still proudly carry the name Mikey Ice as I continue to document, participate in, and share the culture that has been such an important part of my life.

Each One, Reach One.
Peace!
— Mikey Ice

IYKYK. 🖤 That FLOOD couldn't stop us!
Ohio and the people from 33 states across the nation that traveled to join us, y'all showed OUT! The 2026 OHIO BLACK EXPO Riverfront Culture Fest was every bit of #BlackExpollence. You know what it is...the food, the music, the vibe.

150+ Black-owned businesses represented. Food trucks for days. The Kickoff Parade. The families. The culture, loud and proud. Memorial Day Weekend done RIGHT.

This has always been bigger than a festival. It's what we build when we show up for each other, our youth, our elders, our businesses, our health, and our future.

To every vendor, artist, volunteer, sponsor, donor, and soul who came through: THANK YOU.

2027 is going to be our biggest yet. 👀
