To the amazing women who stood beside me on this day for the Mercy Basket Maternal Care Initiative, thank you. 🥹❤️

You showed up with your hearts, your energy, your kindness and a willingness to serve. You gave your time, worked so hard, and carried the vision with me. Watching you all in action reminded me that the right people can make a beautiful vision even more meaningful.

we reached over 100 mothers, but I also witnessed something special in the women who made the day possible. You were intentional, you were committed, and you did amazingly well. I couldn’t have asked for a better team.

Thank you for believing in this vision, for showing up when it mattered, and for giving so much of yourselves to make another woman’s day a little brighter.

I may have convened this initiative, but today was a reminder that community is built by people who are willing to show up for one another.

I’m proud of you. I’m grateful for you. And I’m so glad we did this together. 🥹🤍

On the 22nd of October, 2026, Salt & Mercy took a step closer to a vision we hold deeply: because every mother deserves a dignified beginning.

Through Mercy Basket, our maternal care initiative, we reached over 100 mothers with a simple but powerful message: you matter, your wellbeing matters, and you deserve care, dignity and community.

Motherhood should not mean having to navigate every challenge alone. Sometimes, showing up, offering support and reminding a mother that she is seen can make a difference.

It was about more than what we could give. It was about the women we met, the lives we touched and the community we hope to keep building.

To every person who supported, volunteered, donated or helped make today possible, thank you for being part of this story.

This is Mercy Basket. And this is only the beginning.

Because every mother deserves a dignified beginning.

She showed up to work with cramps that bent her double.

She smiled through a pregnancy nobody knew about.

She survived childbirth and then survived the silence after it.

She stayed in a home that was shared when she didn’t choose to share it.

She forgave betrayal she never spoke out loud.

She held friendships that were slowly bleeding her dry.

She fought for a promotion she was more qualified for than the man who got it.

She shrank herself in rooms where her voice was too much.

She lay awake at 2am asking if she was enough —
and got up at 6 and did it all again.

She is carrying family drama like a second job.

She is loving people who do not love her back carefully enough.

She is building something beautiful in the middle of her own unraveling.

And she still showed up.

Suited.
Standing.
Becoming.

For women becoming everything they were told they couldn’t be.

The women in this photo are not models.

They are not a concept.

They have lived more of this caption than you know.
