I’ve grown so accustomed to things moving so quickly that I often forget how much better I feel when things actually stand still.

Recently, I’ve been producing more reels because of my fear of falling behind. I can appreciate that folks are entertained by them and that they give you a behind-the-scenes look into the process. But I kind of miss the feeling of being able to linger. Of looking at something without being paced through it.

Reels may show more of the process, but carousels let me actually sit with it. I love getting lost in a detail, noticing something I missed the first time, imagining myself in the process—the weight of the tools, the movement of the hands, the small decisions that turned an idea into something tangible.

How do you see it? Do you prefer one format over the other? Have you enjoyed the reels I’ve been making? Spill it all!

A second look at my Almond Butter Fig Leaf Bonbons for @mize.dining. Slow down, take it in. Look at how beautiful and unique each one looks after the chocolate was airbrushed. I’m in so much awe🥹

Bonbons are hand painted with @roxyandrich and make with @cacaobarryofficial Zéphyr 34% White Chocolate.
