Some destinations are labeled as “luxury” and it’s usually about things. Marble bathrooms, hardware, etc.

I believe we are moving to a world where luxury is about embracing the traditions behind the destinations and ease of lifestyle and access. Do you agree?

Switzerland—coming to you from St. Moritz, and Sils Maria—is one of those places. I was taken aback by these things.

1. The outdoor lifestyle, from hiking and mountain biking in summer to cresta and skiing in the winter. All integrated.
2. Kids are welcome anywhere. Everywhere. I saw Swiss families, American families, all sorts of large groups at formal hotels like @suvrettahouse ! Playgrounds are integrated @badruttspalace @kempinskistmoritz because why not.
3. Informal meals are delivered with care. Even simple crepes and breads and cheeses.
4. Hotels like @chesamarchetta deliver on slow travel with books everywhere. A must see.
