I can only tag 20 people (?!) but so many more than that made this possible. I’m so tired but so happy. The universe can on occasion give you a frickin win. Congratulations to everyone involved in the successful completion of a theatrical event, which I understand more than ever is a Herculean achievement that will be hard to top.

On Shakespeare’s birthday I present the cast of Poway Shakespeare’s debut performance BARDS WITH BLADES, part of @sdfringe! 5 scenes, 5 Shakespeare plays, 5 battles, 5 directors.

Tonight, as part of my duties as Community Engagement and Youth Education Director, I’ll be wandering Old Poway Park talking about Shakespeare to whoever will listen, followed by cake and an hour of open rehearsal so the public can watch us work. We also have a free Community Night where anyone can pull up a chair and enjoy Shakespeare under the massive trees and historic boxcar of Old Poway Park.

Years ago I dreamed of being able to put up the theatre that I wanted to see, in a place I wanted it to be, with the people I wanted to work with. Problem with this dream is the only way to manifest it is to put it in the universe for others to grab and mold with their own gifts. Keeping it to myself was useless. Jackie, Christine, Melanie, Mark, Lance, and countless others have donated their time and energy to this dream. This silly idea of having a company that provides high quality education AND innovative professional shows has become the adopted baby of so many folks. And each time it spreads my joy increases.

Dreams don’t have to be dreams forever.

Oh, and LOOK AT THESE HOTTIES!!!!
