MJ's nose transformation explained 👑

In the early years of his career, especially during the Jackson 5 era, he had a natural, rounded nose with a normal bridge and fuller tip. In the early 1980s, he began having rhinoplasty (nose reshaping surgery). He later confirmed that he had at least one procedure, mainly saying it was to help with breathing and also for cosmetic refinement.

As time went on into the late 1980s and 1990s, further surgeries and refinements made his nose appear much thinner, more sharply defined, and more sculpted. The bridge became narrower, and the tip more pointed. Makeup contouring and lighting also made it look even more dramatic in photos and performances.

In his later years, his nose often appeared very small and highly refined, which led to a lot of media speculation. However, claims that it “collapsed” or completely fell apart are not reliably proven and mostly come from tabloid rumours rather than confirmed medical facts.

Overall, the changes were the result of repeated cosmetic procedures combined with makeup, stage lighting, and natural facial changes over time

After dinner, they went to Studio 54 for the party honoring members of the "Beatlemania" musical production. Andy took photos of Bella Abzug, André Leon Talley, Diane von Furstenberg, Michael Jackson, Sterling St. Jacques, Steve Rubell, Steven Tyler, and Dory Hamilton at the party. In his diary, Andy recalled:

"Cabbed to La Petite Ferme, a little restaurant in the Village where George Mason was having a dinner for me. Catherine and her brother Valentine were waiting for us out in the rain. All the boys in the family are raving beauties, but the girls are like Catherine— just cute.
Then I talked everybody into going up to Studio 54 for the party for Beatlemania. Aerosmith was there, and Cyrinda Foxe from Bad who used to live with David Johansen but now she lives with one of Aerosmith. She said that a picture of me with a Campbell's Soup Can was in the light show of Beatlemania."
