First and foremost, I want to thank God for giving me the opportunity to work with this amazing group of young men and to make so much history this year.

We finished with 18 wins — the best record in school history — and won our first-ever conference tournament championship. We also made history by advancing to the second round of the playoffs.

Although we came up short last night against a well-coached Winston-Salem Prep team, nothing can take away what we accomplished this season.

To my seniors, thank you for the memories and for being part of such a special run. You helped set the standard.

NCLA has been an amazing place for me to call home, and I truly hope I can finish my coaching career there. Over the next few weeks, I will reflect and determine what my next move will be — making sure it is the right one.

Thank you to all the parents for feeding the boys and supporting us at every game. Thank you to my former players who came back to scrimmage, encourage, and pour into this team. And thank you to my family and friends for always supporting me through this journey.

We made history — and no one can ever take that away from us.
