Thank you, Nantucket! Wowza. I had an amazing time @mitchellsbookcorner signing books with @elinhilderbrand, who shares her lovely lined-up crowds like nobody else! I made her sign my copy of the delightful Swan Song that Jelly had bitten all up. @timtalksbooks is the best at bookselling and also lunch and also lending us his Jeep so we could walk around gorgeous Sconset and admire the stunning lichen. Michael continues to be my favorite ferry husband. The book tour is done, thank you for indulging me, and now LET’S FUCKING GOOOOOO.

Wow! Thank you @mvbaran and @harperbooks for sending me to the Cape “for work.” I had so much fun everywhere, because book people keep being the very best people. Thank you @titcombsbookshop and @wellfleetpubliclibrary and @castlehilltruro and @karendukess and @buttonwoodbooksandtoys and @booksonthecape and all the intrepid readers who came out to laugh and cry and talk about clots and sweating. Also Friend of the Author @mjmillner who is the cutest and funnest and absolute best partner for the kind of person who weeps over hydrangeas and also wants an “every week is shark week” tattoo. Not pictured: my own body weight in fried clams.
