“AB+” for the Fresh Tracks Residency 2025-2026 at @nylivearts 🥊Freak Le Boom Boom🥊 It’s truly been an honor to be a part of this cohort and I’m so proud of the work accomplished during these 9 long hard months 😭 I cannot believe how much was packed into those 17 minutes on the NYLA stage but I could not have done without the talents and brilliance of each of my collaborators! Baddies 5evr and evr 🔥 Also Joshua helped created Bellami in their apartment because they are a genius and gorgeous and talented. Then Matt comes in with an idea to create beds of light to properly frame the piece? “again and again” - May 15,16 2026 Fresh Tracks Residency Performance It’s been a little over a month since the presentation of this new developing work. Feeling the liminal and reflective space after the show. I’m ruminating on what I started. Dreaming of how to grow the project. Deep Gratitude to the Fresh Tracks’ Panelists for giving me the opportunity and @nylivearts for the support and resources to make a group work, take risks, try and fail. WELP it’s been a year since Ajijaak on Turtle Island hit the road, so I guess I’m ready to post about it 😂 Re-mounting a musical of puppetry and creating original choreography was one of the hardest events of my career, and I’m so grateful for the team I had to help bring this to life. You know who you are: thank you to all who showed up every day putting their best feet (and paws, and wings, and talons) forward to make this show ready for the road. You are all so precious to me and I’m looking back a year later with nothing but pride and gratitude for the work put in by you all. Thank you for all your hard work.
